Lab Report: Distilled Water
1. Put your safety goggles and lab coat on.
2. Gather all the necessary materials in order to conduct this experiment such as boiled water, distilled water, calcium chloride, distilled water, glycerin, test tubes, nails, test tube rack, graduated cylinders, tongs, scoopula, erasable marker and parafilm.
3. With the erasable marker, label the ten test tubes from 1 to 10.
4. For Test Tube 1, drop an iron nail in it without adding anything else. Place the test tube into the to-be-heated rack (50⁰F) located on the side bench and proceed to the next step.
5. For Test Tube 2, drop an iron nail in it without adding anything else. Place the test tube into the to-be-cooled rack located on the side bench and proceed to the next step.
6. For Test Tube 3, drop an iron nail into it without placing any sort of liquid or chemicals. When completed, cover it with parafilm and set aside.

For Test Tube 4, find a fingernail-sized chunk of calcium chloride and place it into the tube, along with the iron nail. When completed, cover it with parafilm and set aside.
8. Using a graduated cylinder, measure 5 mL of glycerin and pour it into Test Tube 5. Add the iron nail. When completed, cover it with parafilm and set aside. Label this graduated cylinder ‘A’ and keep it for future use.
