Kurt Vonnegut Literary Analysis
Kurt Vonnegut is the author of this novel, he was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on 1922. He emerged as a writer and novelist in the 1960s, and wrote the classics Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse-Five and many more. After he studied at Cornell University, Kurt Vonnegut enlisted in the U.S. Army. They sent him to what is now Carnegie Mellon University to study engineering. A year later, he served in Europe and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After this battle, Vonnegut was captured and became a prisoner of war. He was in Dresden, Germany, during the Allied firebombing of the city and saw the complete devastation caused by it.
