Kudler Fine Food - Legal
Kudler Fine Foods: Legal (Product liability)
According to "Cornell University Law School" (2012), "Products liability refers to the liability/responsibility of any or all parties along the chain of manufacture of any product for damage caused by that product. This includes the manufacturer of component parts (at the top of the chain), an assembling manufacturer, the wholesaler, and the retail store owner (at the bottom of the chain.)” (Product Liability: An Overview). Kudler Fine Foods owner, Kathy Kudler, keeps law cost at a minimum. The Kudler legal team consists of one person, Anne Shousha who is a tax attorney. Kathy is the only person that speaks with Anne. Most legal decision are hadled by the store manager who decides if that matter needs to be referred to Kathy. Matters of an immediate nature such as a “slip and fall” are swiftly reported to Kathy who at that point decides if Anne needs to be involved. The company’s legal issue is discussed over the phone or during family gatherings as Anne Shousha is Kathy Kudler’s sister in law. Kathy only incurs the $100 per hour fee for formal meetings that take place. Though attorney fees are at a minimum for Kudler Fine Foods, there have been instances where Anne advised Kathy to settle the case.
Kudler Fine Foods does not seem to have a strategic plan for legal matters. There are several potential lawsuits that could take place. Though Anne Shousha may be a very capable attorney, her expertise is tax law. Anne Kudler is leaving her company open for many lawsuits to come without having a contingency plan.
In the past companies such as Publix have had lawsuits that were out of the norm. Publix as well as Winn Dixie are grocers who use “Go Green” recyclable bag. Both organizations were accused of using bad that bags that contained unsafe amounts of lead.
Kudler Fine Foods is in need of a legal team overhaul. The company is in need of a plan to tool that helps monitor the stores incident reports

Kudler Fine Foods is a company that deals with bakery and pastries products, along with providing produce, meats, seafood, condiments, cheese, specialty dairy products, and they also package foods if necessary throughout their many locations within California. Kudler Fine Foods ultimate goal is very similar to all businesses alike, which is to have an excess amount of income over expenditure. According to what is stated on the Intranet for Kudler Fine Foods, their drive as a business, is to always maintain being the best in the business when comes to servicing customers with top high end products (goods and even services produced by Kudler Fine Foods). KFF will also have to understand what the needs of customers are and what they are looking for. Most of the time, or should I say all the time, customers are always relying on the shifting and movements (up or down), of price levels over different periods of time, and the expectations of those price levels, would be a decrease in goods and services mostly all the time. Observing the shifting of price levels is a strategy done by customers as they go through the process of examining two or more companies similar to KFF; in order to discover similarities and differences.…
