KSNN study
• Did KSNN wait too long before pulling out?
Yes, KSNN did wait too long before pulling out. There are two main reasons that KSNN had to pull out their business. First, KSNN was not proactive to prevent vandalism and traffic jams even though it has continuously existed. Since the fireworks event has been held for 12 years, they should have developed a security system with sponsors and college. Second, KSNN did not consider publicity. Once negative publicity happened, KSNN will not easy to address it. KSNN had to consider the tide of publicity before moving the event place. • Should they have tried to solve the problems on their own, rather than just giving up?
They have tried to solve the problems with the sponsors and the college rather than on their own and giving up. Since it was a complex problem related with vandalism, colleges, sponsors, and publicity, they have to cooperate with each other to solve the problems. For the vandalism problem, as the case study showed, vandalism has continuously existed so KSNN had to be proactive to prevent it. For example, they first contacted the Security Company to prevent vandalism. The fee for it would be shared by KSNN, sponsors, colleges, and local vendors. Since the show has evolved, traffic jams increased. KSNN has to contact other institutions in order to reduce traffic jams. For example, KSNN makes contact with private parking companies during the period of the event. In addition, before KSNN replaced the football field to a local city golf course as an event place, they should have considered tide of publicity. Since publicity has significant power to determine image of brands, KSNN had to take survey with local community, sponsors, local vendors and college about moving the event place rather than to be forced to move the event place.
• What benefits accrued to KSNN, the sponsors, and the college when the show was going well?
When the show was going well, the event generated a considerable amount of money for

According to Google, there are over 162 million web pages mentioning the wedding. It was estimated to bring £630 million into the economy. All these facts are a proof that the event has received great, or even excessive media & editorial coverage worldwide and has reached a huge number of people. This has probably turned it into the TV (PR) event of the century.…

While many may not agree with this motive, I personally feel that it’s a blessing for my school to have a sponsor especially because we are a non-profit public school. With this sponsorship we have opportunity to watch Channel 1. Channel 1 always has educational and necessary information available. For example, one day while watching Channel 1 in class a segment aired about a third world country that had no money to enforce proper educational needs to the children. This specific segment inspired my classmates and I to…

Three European empires had collapsed, economies were devastated, millions of people were homeless or victims of disease and nationalist and communist revolutions were breaking out all over Europe. The peacemakers had to act quickly to save their world and in this they were remarkably successful. However It can be argues this view is limited as…

Between restaurants, transportation, and most importantly, hotels, geeks come from around the world to visit the largest comic and pop-culture convention in history, and are happy to spend their hard-earned money to get, and stay here. Since so many of those that attend come from out of town, the hotels make a huge profit during the five-day event. In fact, hotels are so overrun with guests during the event; there is now a lottery to get a chance at a hotel room. A few months before the event, nerds from across the country eagerly hover over their keyboards waiting for a chance to get a hotel room at a massively inflated cost, battling thousands of others, just so that they can ensure a place to stay during the Con to end all Cons. Hotels, up to 30 miles away, routinely block off the event weekend so that they can cash in on event goers during this in-demand weekend. And since they make such a profit from the event, why would they want it to end up in another city, simply because they do not approve the…

During my tenure with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and especially in my current position, a substantial part of my duties has required strong skills in presenting information both orally and in writing. As an example of my oral communication skills, I was selected by the office Director to be a presenter at an NCI symposium on the documentation of cancer research. This symposium was designed to inform cancer researchers about the new methods of cancer documentation within the NCI guidelines. This symposium was attended by 100+ participants consisting of researchers, scientists and support staff. I spoke on the history of the NCI, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on documentation, and the relationship between NCI and the National Institutes of Health.…
