Resistance Army. Kony is infamous for abducting young boys and turning them into soldiers after he forces them to kill their parents so the children think they can never return home. He abducts young girls and turns them into sex slaves. Kony And the rest of the Lord’s Resistance Army claim to be devout followers of the Ten Commandments despite their monstrous acts. In 1987 Kony formed the Lord's Resistance Army which has been in a civil war against the Ugandan government. If the Lord's Resistance Army wins, Kony has said that Uganda will become a “theocracy”, a system of government where priests or religious leaders rule in the name of God or a god, with laws centered around Ten Commandments. Kony's resistance has kidnapped an estimated 20,000 children and turned them into soldiers and sex slaves. These children are usually forced to kill their own parents, so they have no homes to return to. Kidnapped boys also serve as targets and decoys, sent to the front lines, often times unarmed, whenever the Ugandan military takes on the Lord's Resistance Army. Kony and the Ugandan government occasionally issue public statements saying that peace negotiations would be welcome. When questioned about peace talks lately, the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army commanders must die. Kony is in the top ten of most wanted men in the world. As of 2011 he was placed in the ninth place but after 2012 he moved up to number four due to the documentary, “Kony 2012”. The United States government has offered a 5 million dollar reward for his capture.
