Tim was nothing like that; he didn’t want people to judge him accordantly to the other rich people. He strongly hated the fact that most rich people are jerks and looked down toward the middle/lower class. Money does change people a lot. This is true even today; it is not uncommon to see someone with large amounts of money getting off the hook without a solid explanation. If you have the money to get the job done you can get away with just about anything. “Arm it in rags, a pigmy's straw does…

Money moves the decisions of how trials go. If you have a poor African American on a murder trial, given, if it goes that far, most of the time he would be found guilty even if it were in self-defense. If the defendant were a wealthy white person, the jury would find a way of how it was justified, as it was in the case of State of Florida v. George Zimmerman. He was found not guilty under the stand your…

"If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to." (Parker, Dorothy 1893-1976). For all God fearing people in this country that work themselves to the bone every day; I believe this quote is something they live by. Let 's forget about God and look at the real issue of money and society, more importantly celebrities and monetary advantages in the court system. There is a strong point to that statement. Shakespeare makes it clear that, even though the tests drove him deeper into madness, they opened his eyes each time and started his path back towards sanity. Lear doesn’t stop here; rather, he moves to a digression about justice. Lear delves into an intellectual conversation, saying, “Robes and furred gowns hide all. Plate sin with gold, // and the strong lance of justice hurtless breaks. // Arm it in rags, a pygmy’s straw does pierce it.”(4.6.181) In this quote, Lear is saying that money can cover up injustice to the point where it is unreacheable, but without money justice is easily served. In this final scene with Lear, Shakespeare…

Being famous does not necessary mean bring rich, and vice-versa. Both generally bring satisfaction if brought to one in a positive manner, or in a way he/she intended it to. Because being famous and being rich are both signs leading to success, which in most cases, is the human’s ultimate goal. Being just either rich or famous, other than being a positive thing, could produce highly negative and unwanted end results too. A huge percentage of people are famous as a result of all sorts of negativity, such as criminal acts and negative politics. At the same time, a good part of the world’s drug lords and terrorism-driven groups are fairly rich too. So when does being rich or famous become a good thing? Usually, a combination of being rich and famous, surprisingly, doesn’t do as much harm to coexisting peers, as the former would. Although criminals who fall under lists such as ‘FBI’s Most Wanted’, turn out to be rich and famous, regardless of how they got to where they are. But a bigger portion of the ‘rich and famous’ category are occupied by highly paid movie stars and sportsmen, neither of whom does much harm to the society.…

Marxists state that the laws are made to benefit the ruling class. For example, social security fraud, largely committed by the poor, unavoidably attracts prosecution and often prison, yet tax fraudsters who are usually wealthy and powerful individuals rather than ordinary taxpayers, rarely get taken to court. Croall defines white-collar crime as crime committed in the course of legitimate employment, which involves the abuse of an occupational role. Croall suggests that this kind of crime is mainly committed by the ruling class who are rich and have an elite socio-economic status. Reiman argues that the more likely a crime is to be committed by upper-class people, the less likely it is to be treated as a criminal offence. Middle class crime is under-policed, under-punished and underestimated. Gordon argues that crime is a logical response to economic deprivation.…
