Kim Was Nervous When the Door Open...
Kim was nervous when the door open. He saw a glimpse of a shadow of a person. It was exactly 11.00p.m. Outside was the blackness of night. From afar, the chattering of insects tickled his eardrums. On the tree, he can hear the owl was wailing wistfully. He closed the door and just ignored it. He sat on the sofa. He felt deserted because no one was at home except him so he watched the television. After a while, it was raining cats and dogs with roaring sounds of thunder that came along. Lightning flashed and the sweeping winds roared on. There was a crash of thunderbolt. It was deafening. He cannot concentrate watching the television so he switched it off. He also felt like someone was watching him from the window but when he turned around there was no one there. Kim felt hungry. He paced slowly to the kitchen and found some food in the refrigerator. Suddenly, he heard a clatter of pots outside the house. ”Maybe it was a cat.”, Kim thought. He tried to throw negative thoughts. After he finished eating the food, Kim walked slowly to his room. The rainy night made him feel so cold, as cool as ice. The air was frigidly cold, suggested by the constant shivering and chattering of teeth among his brethren. The rain! How he loved the smell of it, nourishing the earth with its life-giving water. After a while, he closed his eyes, he was shocked by a squeaking sound of window. He grabbed a hockey stick, pulled himself together and crept towards the sound. As soon as he left his room, someone leapt from behind the door and covered his mouth with a chloroform-soaked cloth and he passed out. When he woke up, his hand was tied and he was lying down on a cold, damp cement floor. He felt dizzy. His mind pondered. He looked around and tried to remember what was happening to him. He realized that he was not at home but in an old warehouse. He tried to escape. Suddenly, a big, brawny man came towards him while speaking to a handphone with mumbling

Dark clouds hung slightly above the road and the sounds of rain beating against the car bothered her. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have chosen this day to ghost hunting,” she said as the inside windows fogged over, turning on the defroster she calmed down and sang along with the radio.…

The glistening, white snow fell slowly to the ground outside the window. The distinct shapes of the snowflakes shown; the light from the street lamp seeping through the cracks. The mumble of the heater in the corner of the room; the faint sound of the blood dripping onto the floor were the only sounds. He lay there; motionless. The thuds were entering the silent room once again. The creaking of the wooden floor grew louder and louder. Still the light of the street lamp shone through the window and onto the far wall. Sally just shrugged as they were trudging through the muddy, rainy, and crowded streets with wet coats. Everything was obscure, the gutters were filled with dirty water. Their drenched feet and boots whined as they stepped on the cemented sidewalk.Their bodies had gave up on providing heat and presented to the atmosphere’s harsh temperatures.
