Keri Mah A Short Story
that’s what Keri Mahan says.” Eventually though, the bell had finally gotten off its ass and did its job. It couldn’t have come soon enough either as far as I’d been concerned. I then swiftly slipped out of the cafeteria as fast as my Keds would take me. After that, I eked my way through my last four classes before ducking out of the school a few minutes before the final bell had even rung. When I had gotten home my mama had seen me come into the house so she of course had asked me straight away how my day was, and I felt myself instantly wanting to go off. Telling her all about what little bitches Keri, Laurie, and Hallie were. But not wanting to disappoint her I lied, telling her my day was fine. I didn’t want her to worry about

“Wake up!” my mom gave me a little shove as I took the covers off my face and looked at the clock, it was 7:20. I hopped off the bed and skipped to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I was so excited; this whole week was FCAT week at school and today was the math portion of the test. Last year, 3rd grade, I got a 3 on it while on the reading part I had gotten a 5. This year, I was determined to get a 4, no matter how difficult the test may be. I put my long, wavy brown hair in a ponytail and, being the girly girl that I am, decorated it with a pink bow my aunt had given me for Christmas. With a big smile on my face I went to my mom’s room to see if she was ready so we could be on our way, I saw her sitting down looking at her nails, “mommy, we’re going to be late” she looked up at me and it looked like she had been crying, she faked a smiled, got her bag and out the door we went.…

"Nikki, wake up your gonna be late for the first day at school." That was my mother a real pain in my ass, she thinks that I 'll turn into some hipster weed smoker as soon as I get to this new school in California. Being the uptight mother as she is she storms into my room and starts to yell "Nikki!!!! It 's 8:00 and you 're still not ready, I hope your not staying up till crazy hours in the morning cause if I find you on that laptop at 3am in the morning I will personally come up here and chuck that contraption out the window." I rolled my eyes knowing that she wouldn 't actually do that to my expensive laptop that my father got me for Christmas last year. I sprung out of bed and headed into my bathroom slamming the door in her face. I ran a nice hot shower. I stepped into it getting goosebumps as the warm water trickled over my bare skin. I hope out and moisturised my face, then grabbing my make-up bag I headed over to the mirror. I applied bbcream and mascara to my long lashes, I then grabbed my hair dryer, and dried my hair completely, I then straightened it and pinned my fringe to one side with a bow,…
