Ken Saxon Analysis
Ken Saxon is a man with many words and advice over the piece known as What Do You do with a B.A. in History? This can go for many things such as a B.A. in English, however, truly this writing is not fully towards what one can do with with a B.A. History or anything, but gives advice towards students and maybe even towards everyone in general. That’s his goal all along as he would give examples to people, talk about his life, and spread advice that can help people make the right choice and explain why one should do what he tells people to do as he can see that people, such as students, are stuck. It seems to be one of many questions and even sometimes a struggle for many students. Just like the struggle of students not knowing what they are going into or doing something that they don’t like. This can cause stress, worry about what will come, and even confusion as many students and even just graduated students who go to the workforce just don’t even know. This is something that parents, teachers, the school counselor, and friends would always tell others to do, but many don’t seem to always take it with heart till it’s too late. College is a great place to find what one wants to do but can be dread when no one seems to know what they are getting into or just hates what they are getting into. That’s is why Ken had mentioned having people starting asking life questions when it comes to college and trying to figure out what one will go into. These are nothing big, but nothing small as they only asked simple questions such as, who am I, what am I passionate about, what’s important to me, and what doesn’t interest me at all? With these asked it’s most likely people might start enjoying what they do and willing to learn, but most of all, they won’t be stuck trying to figure out who they are. It also allows them to not be like Ken friend who went to college to study to be something that he, later on, found out wasn’t for him. His friend didn’t like it but finished it out until the next year that he tried something new. This seems as if students should really prepare themselves for this or at least try to know what they want to go
