Keep Our Enviroment
Keep our environment pollution free

Good morning to my principal, Mrs. A.K. Chan, all the teachers and my fellow friends. Thank you Mrs A.K. Chan for giving me a chance to present me for giving a speech about keeping our environment pollution free to everyone in this hall. I am here to talk about keeping our environment clean, as you can see all of us are suppose to take care of this planet to make it a better place, but why aren’t we doing it so? We are not doing much.

We must make a change, especially with all the gasses that comes out from the cars, lorries and even motorbikes. But it is not only the transportation causes all this gas even smokes from industries that are affecting our environment. The rate of global warming is increasing rapidly and we must slow it down before it is too late. We must do something before it gets worse.

The reason why I am talking about all of this is because our rivers and lakes are polluted. Maybe to some people is not a big of a deal, but I can assure you we cant be able to swim in a clean ocean with all the fishes anymore. We cant blame anyone else except for us, because we are the ones who throw rubbish into the rivers or lakes and because of our wrong doings fishes and water plants are dying.

It is a lot of things that we don’t know about water pollution and how bad it is for our health. Every year, billion and billion of pounds of garbage are dump into the water. This makes for us the clean up, and not only garbage are dump but toxic substance coming from the factory that are built near the ocean, river, or even lake.

Plants and animals require water for their everyday life, and they cannot survive if their water is filled with toxic chemicals or harmful microorganisms. Pollution can really kill large numbers of fish birds, and other animals. Pollution can also make rivers, lakes, and ocean that are coral colour waters unpleasant to look at, to smell, and to swim in.

Fish and shellfish harvested from polluted waters may be unsafe to eat. People can also become ill and with the smell exposure, may develop cancers or bear children with birth effects. So this is why it is so important to keep our environment clean, I know all of us wouldn’t want this to happen for our future generation. We should start now before is too late.

Thank you.

A hot summer day at the beach, to cool down you need a cool, refreshing can of soda or bottle of water. Later, others come and see garbage in the water. How did this happen? The person drinking probably was too lazy to clean up after themselves or couldn’t find a garbage can nearby. It’s a shame that water is one of our most significant natural resources, and it’s turning into a filthy, disgusting liquid. This tragedy is called Water Pollution. Any change or modification in the physical, chemical and biological properties of water that will have a pernicious consequence on living things is water pollution. It occurs when pollutants (particles, chemicals, germs, substances, etc.) are discharged directly or indirectly into different forms of bodies of water.…

Water pollution happen due to the BP oil spill and due to all the vast amount of oil and gases that entered the ocean. The enormous effects it has on the marine life and it is all primary pollutant. The devastation does not stop at this point. It prolongs the curse to the wildlife and environment as a whole. It was found out by the LSU entomologist that the liquid, brownish-black oil still leaks out of the planet every day, which can be disturbing the food chain that the sea life thrives upon. While this may be for moment in time hurting, the horrific sight of natural gas piercing approximately a mile below the ocean surface we forever devastate the ocean life. All of this molded a combination which…

Therefore, heavy metal and other toxic chemicals, such as cadmium and mercury, solvents and pesticide enter the water treatment and cause threat to all things. Many of these substances come from industries and business that dispose of chemical in their wastewater as a part of the regular water that’s being tested. The chemical usually come from hazardous household items such as cleaning products, paints and pesticides. Some include lead and copper in the wastewater cording the pipes and causing serious toxins to spread. Thus, the wastewater treatment can only clean small amounts. The main problem caused by water pollution is that it kills organisms that depend on these water bodies. Moreover, it disrupts the food-chains for aquatic animals and the food they consume. Therefore, people can get disease such as hepatitis by eating seafood that has been poisoned. Some of these chemicals release release oils, poisonous chemicals, and other wastes into water. The use of chemicals in farming is one example. Farmers use some chemicals as fertilizers, or substances added to soil to help crops grow. They use other chemicals as pesticides or herbicides. These are substances that kill pests or weeds. When these chemicals seep into the ground, they may make the groundwater unfit to drink. Chemicals also may drain into rivers and lakes,…

First, we have global warming, which is a problem that must be solved as soon as possible. Some ignorant people think that it won’t happen but we are actually living this situation right now, every single day. According to some NASA studies, since 1950, the average temperature has climbed 1.4Fahrenheit degrees around the world. As a consequence of this fact, an Arctic ice area, which was bigger than the United States, has melted this year! Another evidence of global warning is that the frequency and number of hurricanes and earthquakes around the world has increased the last years. The irony of all this is that even though we do realize what is happening; even though we know that we are destroying our planet, we are still polluting, wasting and damaging.…

Water pollution is starting all over the world. Water pollution occurs when waste products or other substances, such as microorganisms, chemicals, or sewage, change the physical, thermal, chemical or biological characteristics of the water, adversely affecting living species and reducing the water's beneficial uses. When the matter gets into the water, most of the time it deteriorates and makes the water unhealthy. When the water becomes polluted, animals that rely on the water source will die from drinking the harmful chemicals and other pollutants. These chemicals will not only harm the animals but will affect the plants greatly as well. The plants will stop growing and eventually will die. There are several threats to our water resources. Oil Spills kill thousands of seabirds and can wreck water desalination plants and industrial plants drawing their water from affected coastlines. However, oil can get into the sea from many other sources, and cause just as much damage. Poor management of existing water resources can lead to those resources running out or at least shrinking. Much of the pollution in rivers and seas comes from chemicals, mainly from agriculture. The effects of pollution can vary from localized damage to disturbance of the ecology of an entire waterway. The impact of pollution depends on the type and amount of contamination, the period of…

Living on this earth is a privilege and unfortunately we sometimes take advantage of it. Stories of deforestation, air and water pollution really make a person think of just how much our planet is being harmed. A major concern is water pollution. Water covers at least 70 percent of the planet which makes our rivers, lakes, and oceans essential. Many of these bodies of water are being polluted and although they may be out of sight, they eventually help pollution increase. Actions should be made to stop the pollution of our waters before things get worse. If we want to decrease the amount of pollution it starts out by increasing the amount of recycling we do. It shouldn’t stop there. Not only should efforts to improve laws against water pollution be made but public awareness¬¬ has to be raised about this issue.…
