Kayla's Character Analysis
Goal 1: Kayla will improve her emotional and behavioral regulation.

• Kayla appeared to be a good mood when the QP met with her for a session.
• Kayla was observed dancing provocative for a 4 year before she noticed the QP was watching.
• Kayla refused to say where she learned to dance in such a manner; however, the QP informed Kayla that she is dancing is inappropriate and a 4 year should not be sticking her butt out and shaking it.
• Kayla was excited to see the different color people and identified with the white person.
• Kayla commented, “Mrs. Jenny and Mr. Joel are this color which are Kayla’s foster parents and I live with them, so that makes me like them.”
• Kayla reported her foster mother was in a good; however, Kayla stuttered about what type of mother her biological mother is, but finally said she was okay.

Jenny says she doesn’t like to yell, but she does yell sometimes.:
• Kayla’s foster mother informed the QP Kayla wet herself last week because she was not allowed to go back to the bathroom after she was caught playing in the bathroom.
• Kayla’s foster mother stated, “they should have let her go back to the bathroom, but at home she urinates on herself when she is not receiving attention or getting her way.”
• Kayla’s foster mother acknowledged, “Kayla has witnessed the attention her brother gets when he wets himself; therefore, she believes Kayla is doing it on purpose to seek the attention she sees her brother receiving.”
• Kayla acknowledged she does her wet herself when she is upset and proceed to check to see if she was wet while in the session with the QP.
• Kayla reflected on how she should take deep breathes and the QP added Kayla should be patient and wait for an adult to respond to her distress call instead of wetting
