According to Sir Edward Tylor, the attributes defining culture are those attributes acquired through enculturation. A society's language, overall religious views, arts and entertainment, manners, and even eating habits are all attributes specific to its culture. To say that culture is learned is to put simply that it is not something you are born with, but rather something that is learned as a child. Culture is shared; it is something that is learned and spread amongst societies and groups of people, and is not specific to a sole individual. Culture is learned through symbolism, and at the same time encompasses symbolism in itself, for example, through clothing, style, and different types of music. By being all-encompassing, it includes not only sophisticated taste, but also the seemingly unimportant aspects of society. Culture is a part of a pattern with a set of core values integrated into a unique system followed by the people of a society.
