I think connecting the students to their own personal lives and community is an important thing. A teacher should incorporate their lessons to help students figure out who they are, and what they need to become as much as possible. Without learning about themselves or their community, a student can't connect everything together and open up opportunities to their future.…

A teacher are a role model for the community. The teaching profession has grown into a vast array of responsibilities, from meeting the students physiological needs to creating dynamic lessons for attainment of knowledge with high stakes testing. With the subtraction of the politics within the educational system, teaching is one of the fundamentals within human existence and future preservation. Effective and highly effective teaching encompasses the developmental understanding of the student brain. When an educator can understand how the brain is going to make connections to prior knowledge, the more meaningful a lesson will be. Teachers create lessons from state standards to ensure the students are exposed to material for an educational foundation from each grade level to build on. “The Characteristics…

Teaching is a profession that never ceases to evolve. Learning is on a continuum and educators are the ones who strive to capture the most valuable knowledge and pass it from one generation to the next. “You cannot make a difference in the lives of your students until you make a difference in your own life.” (H. Wong & R. Wong, 2004) This philosophy encompasses what it means not only to be an effective teacher but also what it means to be a successful and distinguished individual in society. These are the kind of people that you look up to and can use as a role model in life. People find comfort in an individual who cares about the future and impacting the lives of younger children for generations to come.…

During the pursuit of my degree, I was very fortunate to have an array of different teachers with different teaching styles and different philosophies. However, I was fortunate to have had a few very special teachers who passionately touched my life and whom I’ll never forget. Their contributions and works are quite an inspiration in my career. In putting together this philosophy my purpose is to put together a philosophy that stands on a plan that I believe will most successfully engage real world learning. I strongly believe that engaging students in real-life lessons and hands on activities gives you an opportunity as an educator to make problem-solvers, creators, doers, thinkers, leaders, etc. This will promote life-long learning, and learning for future.…

I’ve been working as a teacher for a year and four months now. Yet my understanding of being a teacher is still evolving day by day. I realized that how I understood this profession was not yet substantial until I was immersed in the actual teaching scenario. I realize that the books, lectures, and inputs given by my college professors, when I was just an education student, are just spectacles of what is in store for me.…
