John Winston Lennon was born to Alfred and Juila Lennon on October 9th, 1940 in Liverpool
England. John was Named after paternal grandfather and the prime minister at the time,
Winston Churchill. With his parents messy relationship, and his father never being around. His aunt, Mimi Smith, complained to the Liverpool Social Services, causing Lennon's mother to handover the care of John to her. Throughout the rest of his childhood he lived with his aunt and uncle. John regularly visited his mother, who taught him how to play the banjo, and bought him his first guitar at the age of 15. When John was 17, his mother was struck by a car, and killed.
