The usual repetitive two verses of each stanza “A working class hero is something to be” changed on the last stanza to two verses of “If you want to be a hero well just follow me.” John Lennon worked in the working class but achieved fame from being part of the English band Beatles, this led to many criticizing him when he wrote “If you want to be a hero well just follow me” in the last part. Although, I believe he was trying to say that to be a real hero one must really work through the bumps of life, to not believe lies. One needs to live life free minded.
