Subject: Differences of culture tendencies in my work group, national culture tendencies and Communication preferences of my work group.
It is very different to work in a business consulting group in China from US. The culture requires vary kinds of people skills and approaches with your coworker and your boss as well. The most important thing is that you need to change your approaches to your customers. People from different culture weight certain characters of a person more than the rest of the person. However, the job is the same, support your team as the best you can. The goal is always about close the deal. Therefore, there are three keys factors that you need to focus on in order to support your teammates as you do at here.
The first thing that you need to do is to study about another culture. I mean really dig into it and learn it from a local figure that is respected in the group. After all, our business is all about people skills and it critical to learn from a good example. This person can show you pretty much everything you need to learn at first. For example, this person can show you how to deal with customers, coworkers and your boss. All you need to do are observing and learning, and practicing the skills you have learned in small matters. Central person in your group should be your study target, according to the book: “Individuals carry the values and attitudes of their culture within them, and they may have according to expectations- in other words, according to predictions made them large positivist studies.” (Varner & Linda, 2011, p 99)
The second one is to follow the rules which are not only the rules on the book or something written down, but things you discover around you. You need to choose which rules are really important to your group. The rules are not only reflecting your work group and reflect the nation culture. For example, you have to be humble
