Things to prepare: Laptops, Hand phones, writing papers, stationaries, casual & formal attires Actor 1 & Actor 2 – Nervous & panic, do not know what should do in order to prepare for a job interview.
*PAUSE*
Speaker: Looking for a job but do not know what to prepare for job interview? It’s ok. Take a deep breath and relax. Here are some of the useful tips for job interview. Let’s take a look on it.
*CONTINUE*
Actor 1 & Actor 2 – Calm down & relax.
*PAUSE*
Speaker: First of all, you need to do some research and preparation for the job interview. There are 4 main aspects that you need to prepare which included with:
*SPEAKER SPEAK AS BACKGROUND VOICE WITHOUT SHOWING FACE & ACTORS DO THEIR ACTIONS AT THE SAME TIME* 1. Research on the company’s profile and background
Start by looking into the company’s future goals and plans. Also, learn your interviewer’s name and job position before going to the interview. You may need to call the company to find out more information.

Attire: Casual (Actor 1 & Actor 2), Proper & Formal (Receptionist)

*ACTOR 1, ACTOR 2 & RECEPTIONIST START ACTIONS*
*Actor 1 & Actor 2 use laptop to do research, look for information of the company. Then, call to the company and talk to the receptionist to find out more information.*

2. Think of questions to ask you interviewer
Participating actively during the interview gives a good impression of your level of interest in the job. It’s a good idea to come prepared with at least three thought-provoking questions to ask your interviewer. Keep in mind that, avoid asking anything that could be easily answered through a quick internet search or you will simply come across as lazy.

Attire: Casual

*Actor 1 & Actor 2: Thinking face & write the questions to be asked onto the paper: “Which are new markets the company is planning to explore in next couple of years?” & “What are the chances for professional growth in this job opportunity?” & “What is your job position and background about?” & “How long you have been working with the company?”* 3. Practice with a peer
If you have a friend who is also preparing for an interview, you might consider preparing together. Not only will this give you a way to structure your preparation, but it will also help you to get comfortable with giving answers and using appropriate terminology and maintaining eye contact with the interviewer. Make sure you are not speaking too slow or too fast and that your answers are stated with confidence.

Attire: Casual

*Actor 1 & Actor 2 practicing on the job interview where Actor 1 as interviewer and Actor 2 as the person to go for an interview.*
*Actor 1 to act as the interviewer to ask questions towards Actor 2. Actor 2 answers questions with proper ways & maintain eye contact, talk moderately & be confidence. After Actor 2 finished answering the questions, Actor 1 shows “thumbs up” to indicate good work.* 4. Anticipate questions from the interviewer
It’s best to prepare for a wide variety of questions by thinking about your own career goals, long-term plans, past successes, and work strengths, but you should also brace yourself for the deceptively simple questions that most employers like to throw to their interviewees.

Attire: Casual (Actor 1 & Actor 2), Proper & Formal (Interviewer)

*Actor 1 & Actor 2 sitting on chair to think & anticipate on what kind of questions that the interviewer might ask them. At the same time, dream & imagine the real scene of job interview where Interviewer asks the possible questions.*
*Scene for Interviewer only: Interviewer writes questions on paper “Why did you leave your last job?” & “Why do you want this job?” & “What is your biggest weakness?” & “Where do you see yourself in five years?” & shows towards the camera.*
*ALL ACTORS PAUSED*
*1ST SCENE END, ONLY SPEAKER CONTINUE TO SPEAK WITH SHOWING FACE*
Speaker: Is it hard to do all these preparations for a job interview? I guess no, and you definitely need sufficient preparations as shown just now to hit the goal and get the job that you desire for.

2nd Scene – Location: At office interview room
Things to prepare: Laptops, Hand phones, writing papers, stationaries, casual & formal attires, formal shoes, any necessary things/materials used to decorate the office interview room’s desk

Speaker: Next, we will focus on the correct and appropriate ways of dressing for job interview.
*SPEAKER STOP TALKING & ACTOR 1, ACTOR 2 START ACTIONS*
*Actor 1 & Actor 2 – Dressing informal & inappropriate attire to attend for the job interview*
*Interviewer (formal attire) – Shocked face*
*PAUSE*
Speaker: Obviously, this is not the proper ways of dressing for job interview. This section is very important as the first judgment that an interviewer makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are wearing. If you come improperly dressed to a job interview, you may lose your chances of getting the job even before the first question has been asked. Remember, you can only make a first impression once.

Speaker: Before going for a job interview, you should do some research on the proper and formal attire to wear in order to give your interviewer a good first impression.

Speaker: Let’s look into how is the appropriate way for women to dress for job interview. The suitable attire should be a combination of attractive and conservative. The best attire has the following: 1. Solid color and conservative suit 2. Coordinated blouse 3. Moderate and conservative shoes 4. Limited jewelry 5. Neat and professional hairstyle 6. Light make-up and perfume 7. Neatly manicured and clean nails 8. Portfolio or briefcase
*Actor 1 – Dress proper & formal attire*
Speaker: This is the way women should be dressed and let’s focus on the men’s attire for job interview. Same as women’s, men’s dress code also need to be as neat as possible too. The proper attire comprise as follows: 1. Solid color and conservative suit 2. Coordinated long sleeve shirt 3. Belt 4. Conservative tie 5. Dark socks and conservative leather shoes 6. Very limited or no jewelry 7. Neat and professional hairstyle 8. Limit the aftershave 9. Neatly trimmed nails 10. Portfolio or briefcase
*Actor 2 – Dress proper & formal attire*
*At interview room, Actor 1 & Actor 2 goes for interview. The interviewer look at Actor 1 & Actor 2, impressed.*

Speaker: In fact, research shows that 55% of overall perception is based on looks. So, you need to work for it to leave a perfect first impression.

3rd Scene – Location: At office interview room
Things to prepare: Laptops, Hand phones, writing papers, stationaries, casual & formal attires, formal shoes, any necessary things/materials used to decorate the office interview room’s desk
Attire: Proper & formal attire for ALL ACTORS & SPEAKER

Speaker: In addition, having the right attitude is one of the essential factors for going into a job interview. No matter what job you are applying for, you always need to have a positive and approachable attitude, etiquette as well as manners.

*SPEAKER SPEAK AS BACKGROUND VOICE WITHOUT SHOWING FACE & ACTORS DO THEIR ACTIONS AT THE SAME TIME*
Speaker: During the day of interview, you should: 1. Be punctual
One large turn off is being late for a job interview. Whatever the reason, any interviewer is likely to lose patience with anyone who is late.

*Interviewer sitting inside interview room*
*Actor 1 reaches outside the interview room on time and preparing for the interview session*
*Actor 2 almost late for the interview. Gasp for breath & pointing at his watch indicates that just on time & doing actions of apologizing*

2. Have a good handshake
When meeting people, it is customary to shake hands. A firm but not knuckle crushing handshake gives a far better impressions. Make sure that you do not have a clammy hand when you shake people’s hand.

*ACTOR 1, ACTOR 2 & INTERVIEWER START ACTIONS*
*Inside the interview room, when meeting with Interviewer, Actor 1 & Actor 2 shake hands with interviewer with smiles & polite faces*

3. Remember names
Unfortunately, it is always difficult to remember names when meeting people because you are usually focus on the initial meeting rather than remembering names. As names are important, remembering the interviewer’s names will be seen as a very positive note.

*ACTOR 1, ACTOR 2 & INTERVIEWER START ACTIONS*
*Interviewer introduces his/her name to Actor 1 & Actor 2*
*After interview session finished, Actor 1: “Thank you, Mr/Ms……..” , forgot interviewer’s name & scratch her head with awkward face. Actor 2 immediately: “Thank you, Mr/Ms ABC”

4. Non-verbal communications
Although we often think of verbal communications as conveying most of the information we give to other people, this is not actually the case. Non-verbal communications such as eye contact, posture and hand position all convey information as well, so it is necessary to be aware of this.

5. Sell yourself
The interviewer will expect you to sell yourself. It is effectively part of the job interview to be able to sell yourself about your achievements by using appropriate examples and specifics. By giving underlying reasons for your achievements, the interviewer will be able to see that you are not lying and this will add credibility to your application.

6. Don’t brag and over dominate the conversation
While it is necessary to be able to talk about yourself in a positive way, you will need to be alert not to let the conversation to be two-way. On the other word, it is necessary to be careful and not to be seen as bragging. When you need to let interviewer knows your achievements, don’t let it go so far that it could be seen as bragging about what you have done.

7. Thank you
One final piece of job interview etiquette is to thank the interviewers for their time. Interviewers will generally be busy and will often have many interviews to conduct beyond undertaking their normal job. A short thank you at the end of the interview will help the interview session to end on the right note.
