That was telling me that there was a explosion or someone tried to smash something. The sun is entering the living room in the Dursleys house from the sun. That was telling me that the light from the sun was shining in the living room in the Dursleys house in the Harry Potter book. This is the reason why J.K Rowling is a good writer.
