Vocabulary Story 5 My first six weeks of school has been right in the middle of wonderful and terrible. The first few days of school I was sanguine. But then after that it was as though someone put a malediction on me and everything just got worse. Of course the first few days we didn’t have that much work, but it kept steadily increasing. But it wasn’t the school work that really bothered me; it was the amount of homework. Every night I had at least 3 different classes with homework and it was wanton and not tantamount with past years of homework. But besides that, most of my classes were good. Although my least favorite class is History at the moment because of the amount of homework and work we do. It is like the teacher rebuffs the fact we might have other extracurricular activities outside of school, along with free time every kid needs, and we also have about three assignments every day. It undermines my enthusiasm for history and it’s almost obliterated my enthusiasm for it completely. My next least favorite class is science. The first reason is because in science fair we have to have our topic sanctioned, and she never approves anything I turn in. Also she teaches brand new topics to us as though we are not all a neophyte at that topic but as though we’re professionals at that topic. Math and speech are parity for my next least favorite classes. Math is one because the teacher doesn’t teach very well, and Speech because I don’t like talking in front of others. But I will acquiescently agree to speak if it is required. Second place in my order of favorites is my English class. Mrs. Clark is a paragon and makes the lessons fun, yet we still learn a lot (She also thinks Robert is a vagrant and quarantines him because she thinks that wandering the streets might contaminate him with some sort of disease). Lastly, even though I think Mrs. Clark deserves and accolade for being awesome, Spanish is my favorite class. It is my favorite because we don’t do hardly any work, yet we still learn a lot, and it is fun to learn a new language.

83% of juniors at South St. Paul Secondary High School complain about their teachers, schoolwork, and the lack of a social life due to IB classes. On Thursday, the 11th grade students at South St. Paul High School all cheered and yelled as the bell rang at 2:35 for the day to be over and a three-day weekend to begin. As the students quickly rushed to their lockers, grabbed their backpacks and ran out the school, we overheard conversations of plans for the week. We stopped to speak to a girl clearly on a mission to get home. As we walked quickly behind her, she said loudly, “I’m sick and damn tired of all these people I just want to go home and watch Netflix for three days!” She then sped up and ran away from us.…

As a student, grades are very important to me. I have never failed a class, and I always strive to earn an A. I always try to do my best. In all honesty, I don’t like school much. My favorite class so far this year has to be either French or ACT. A few of my academic strengths are that I’m a great listener, I don’t like to waste time when I could be getting work done, and I check my work a lot to make sure it is correct or near correct. My academic weaknesses are that I won’t ask questions if I need help and most of the time the topics don’t interest me. I like figuring problems out on my own because I learn better that way, but it can be a bad thing if I really don’t understand the problem at all. In those cases, I don’t know where to start fixing my problem.…

Public rhetoric is one type of communication theory, of which the narrative paradigm by Walter Fisher is an example. The movie Big Fish will be analyzed in this paper using Fisher's narrative paradigm to show that all types of communication can be regarded as story (Griffin, 2006, p. 340).…

    * Academic Work: I’m achieving very good grades except for my meteorology. It’s a subject that I’m very new to and something that is actually very hard for me. I understand the material of the work I just have a hard time putting it down on my homework or test. I took that class so I can have a challenge in school. Yes indeed, it’s giving me a work out, but in the end I know it will be all worth it because I would have passed that class. Not with a D or a C passing it with a B or an A. Other than that class, I’m enjoying every single bit of all my other classes. I’m currently passing them with an A or B. I’m very well satisfied.…

When I came to this school, I was in the fifth grade. At first, I didn't like it at all. I got in trouble to much, and that was the main reason I didn't like it here. Through fifth grade I was not a good student, had bad grades, and had too many levels to count. By sixth grade, I was starting to mature and wasn't getting bad grades as often, but I was still getting in trouble. By seventh grade, I was getting good grades and barely got into trouble. I think the main reason for that is because of my teacher Mr. Finley. In my eighth grade year, I was what some people would call a perfect student. At least in the beginning of the year, that is. By the halfway point of the year, I was getting into trouble again and my…

    Brney Spears Speech

In the start of September school was a lot to work with, but nothing that I hadn’t done before. Now add a few more factors in there and it’s a different story. This caused me to fade out, as I started to lose sight of what I was doing it all for. I remember one day of my junior year in particular. I woke up at 5am, to do homework after having just gone to bed at 2:30. If you ask anyone, I am not a morning person—like at all. School started at 7:30, my first class was AP Literature. We always had what seemed like a ton of homework due. I had read over one-hundred pages of the book Crime and Punishment the night before: I didn’t even like the book. Although I read it, I didn’t pay attention to what I read because I hated the book. My teacher Mrs. Ahearne called on me to answers a question about what happened in one part of the book. I thought I knew what happened, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I grew to hate the class and it felt like it all stemmed from my unbelievably busy schedule. The next day I sat in my counselor’s office trying to avoid class, because I lost all interest in the book and class, to be honest, school in general. School has always been very important to me, so much like Brittany Spears being overwhelmed with the stress of fame, I too became overstressed with all the responsibilities I had inside and outside of school. My goals and ambitions started to fade and I failed to attend school regularly. Lying to my friends, family, and my…

Sixth Grade is very fun, but some classes are easier than others. In middle school you transition classes every fifty minutes. My best class that I would say I have pretty good at is Math, some of it is easy to understand and some of it is hard for me to understand. In 6th grade, the grade I think I could have improved on is science; it’s usually the easiest subject but for me, it’s hard. I have grown a lot in the 6th grade; I have improved physically in P.E.. Some of my grades have improved like my free on science in which has gone up a letter grade; but in other classes my grade has stayed the same such as, L.A. and math.…

    Honors Class Reflection

Throughout my years in high school math was never one of my strongest subjects, but that all changed when I enrolled in honors pre-cal. When I received my schedule I thought there had been some mistake, the fact that I landed an honors class in something I totally sucked in was an idea that I could not get a good grasp on. I could feel my blood pressure rising and I wanted to get out of that class more than anything in the world, but there was also a part of me that was excited. There were a million thoughts going through my head at once, one minute I wanted nothing to do with the class, and the next I would be totally hyped about the idea of having another honors class under my belt.I tired to come up with every reason I could not actually stay in the class, but when I realized that…

Our class always starts at 8.15, but students are usually much earlier in the school talking and playing with friends. First subject is English. Everyone is prepared of this lesson, because Ms.Byun suddenly gives essay for HW and you never know who will be next, after first lesson finishes. Then we go to another lesson World History, which is one of the bored subjects. I go to sleep after 10mins of lecture. But sometimes he teaches the lessons with passion, making them really interesting. The third lesson is English. The teachers name is Mr.Bausili. He is a very interesting teacher, with good experience, but the best thing about him is, he is very funny, and every student just relaxes in his class. Then the fourth lesson is French. It is kind of interesting class. Because, learning new foreign language is kind of cool. After this class I have Geometry. It is a really interesting subject too. I got to know more about angles and postulates and my teacher teaches us so well and make the subject look interesting. Then I have lunch. After all the hard-works, lunch is kind of a refresher for me. I have lunch and play soccer with my friends. The sixth lesson is Algebra. My teacher is Ms. Daniels. She is one of my favorite teachers just like Ms.Byun. She has the creativeness, that how to Interest students. We have fun and do Algebra in her class. After Algebra I have Biology. I have a young teacher for Biology. Her name is Ms.Koo. She is a good teacher and explains us very well, though I have a poor grade in her class, but I try my best and she supports me very well. Then I have Mr.Grath for gym. After having 8 periods, he gives 10mins for relax and after that we have to jog for 5mins then go through our basketball course. Probably after 20mins of playing basketball, the bell rings and hearing the bell ring is like the best moment in the entire day. I go to my locker, have soda, put my binders from the locker and head my way to the…

    My First Two Weeks

My first two weeks of school was full of pure, concentrated chaos. The day before school I found out I couldn’t get my books because my financial aid didn’t come. My first actual school day I was a little late because my tire was on flat. Once I finally got to school I realized I wasn’t late because my first class had been cancelled for the semester. That day after school I found out I may have to quit my evening job because the class I picked up to replace the one that was cancelled is conflicting with my schedule at work. On my second day I tried to set up my student account and couldn’t. After I get to the computer lab I found out my name was wrong in the system. So for my next class that day I found out I couldn’t take any of my quizzes online because the site is down. I couldn’t do my assignments online either. On the third day of school I had a math quiz on chapter two in my math class. That wasn’t so bad until the class realized that we were on chapter one and had another classes test. So finally later on that day I finally got my award letter for my financial aid. Yes my first week of school was chaotic, but I loved every minute of it and wouldn’t change it for the…

At my school there are five lessons per day - three lessons in the morning and two lesson in the afternoon. My favourite day is Friday, because we begin with double French and I am rather good at this subject. And for the last lesson of the day I have art. I am useless at art, but it's relaxing and the teacher always makes us laugh. During the lunch hour, I eat in the canteen and I play table tennis with my friends in the sports hall. I am good at maths and history. I like the maths teacher a lot because he explains things well and the history teacher is very funny. On the other hand, I'm useless at physics - it's too difficult. My French teacher is called…
