The advertisement is a vital part of the economy and the success of a business . Ads help consumers to find the goods or services of their needs . Advertising has different effects on people . They change their perspective on what is and what are not worth buying . Each advertisement changes the emotion of the viewer whether it being good or bad . There is no You may think that an advertisement is completely pointless but someone else might think it is very helpful . In the article " Jesus is a Brand of Jeans " , Jean Kilbourne talks about how most people don't take any advertisements seriously . Some people just " tune out " ads because they don't feel that it will have an effect on them . I can tell be honest when I say ads sometimes get in the way of what I'm trying to watch or listen too . I usually just turn the volume of and start doing something else in the meantime . I know the ads are usually just 30 seconds- 1 minutes but if you're really not into a certain ad at all it might take a century just to finish . Advertisements are not always believable . Kilbourne explains that buying a certain item from ads will not make you reach a certain goal . (Kilbourne 258 ) Only the most powerful and conspicuous establishments would receive attention . Advertisements always find the latest trend in society . Most people would like to know the latest trend of an item . Technology ads or shoe ads impact a bunch of people lives . People feel cool when they have the latest iPhone or Samsung . They feel that they are above everyone that doesn't have it . That does start arguments with people because you're not cool because you have the latest electronics . Not only do young kids do this , Adults do it too . Ads put people in position where if they don't have a certain item they will not be cool . That's a problem with our society
