Janie And Reevee: A Short Story
Janie and Reeve decided to skip school and go on a two hour trip from Conneticut to New Jersey where Jaine's biological parents live. Janie studied the map of New Jersey while Reeve was driving.When Janie told him all about how she thought she was kiddnapped and how her parents are actually her grandparents, Reeve didn't believe it. They got off the New Jersey Turnpike and stopped by a Mobil station which had a phone booth. She got in the phone booth and hoped that the phone book wasn't there, but it was. She looked through it until she found the last name Spring, and there was only one listing and it read: Spring, Johnathan Avery... 114 Highview Avenue. Once Reeve and Janie got near their house they stayed in the car and saw a yellow school

When Janie confronts her parents with this information, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson explain that Hannah is their daughter, and Janie is Hannah's daughter - so, Janie is really their granddaughter. Hannah was a confused child and joined a cult at a young age. She was married to one of the men in her cult and one day showed up at her parents' house with Janie. Hannah returned to her cult, and the Johnsons left with Janie, moving to a different state, and even changing their name from "Javensen" to "Johnson," fearing that the cult would try to get her back. Janie is relieved that the people she believed were her parents were not kidnappers. However, Janie cannot get the picture on the milk carton or the memories of another family out of her mind. She researches the Spring kidnapping. She comes to the conclusion that her parents are probably insane or lying and actually did kidnap her, but she still loves them. He had been living with toxins in his body for five days straight as a result of the ruptured appendix. After undergoing an appendectomy (removal of the appendix), Colton once again developed another sickness. He developed three abscesses (a swollen area of the body that has accumulated pus) and had to undergo another operation (a celiotomy) to remove the abscesses.
