Moore Award, and many more. People now call him “Boy Wonder”.

What did he do? Andraka created a sensor that detects pancreatic cancer. He was only 15 at the time when he created it. The sensor accurately identifies early stages of lung and ovarian cancer as well. He spent a lot of time doing research to find out why cancer is not so easily detected. Rejected by 199 labs before helped with his tests, Jack still, for seven months, worked every day after school, often after midnight. Jack labored through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even his birthday.
Along with his phenomenal invention, he also researches water filters, nanorobots, inexpensive biosensors, disease diagnostics, and econometrics. Andraka is in high demand for TED Talks and speaking at international idea festivals. He also makes programs to mentor LGBT kids in STEM programs.
