Cloud Computing
The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.

Cloud computing relies on sharing computing resources rather than having local services or personal devices to handle all of the applications. “The Cloud” is referred to as a type of Internet-based computing. This allows the organizations computers and devices to manage their data without the need to have their own servers.
Individual Needs
Cloud computing has moved from being just a business feature to also servicing the needs of individuals. Apple, Samsung, Google, Century Link Prism and many other customer based businesses have identified that individuals need the cloud service to manage their everyday needs. Pictures, contacts, music, account information and various other data are synced in the cloud and is able to be retrieved on any of the individuals’ devices.
These services are not free! Individuals pay to link their devices for a fee. Apple has a cloud service – iCloud that you can purchase at any time. It is basically a card ($99.00) that has a code on it with a website (apple.com). The consumer goes to the website and validates the service. An apple id is created – if you do not already have one – and each device, up to 5 can be linked to the account. All you have to do is to log into the cloud and sync. The idea behind this is you are never without your contacts, photos, documents, etc no matter where you are! The subscription is valid for one year upon activation. I believe that this service is a good; however, find that if I do not sync correctly or enough I am still at a loss when trying to coordinate work and life between phone, tablet and computer!
