Isolation In The Workplace
Isolation in the workplace can be common and worst in some situations in the workplaces. It can occur in large work places, but it also can occur in small business or sole practices. However, if a feeling of isolation becomes worse, it can affect health, mental and become big problems in the life. It is good to remind that the feelings are normal. Everybody have goes through them at some situations, whether it is you, a colleagues or workers. The problems also will get worse if there is no solution to solve it. So if you though that the workplaces are becoming in a crisis of isolated, it is probably because of most of the people feeling isolated or lonely at work.
Next, there are many reasons why a person might feel isolated in the workplace. For an examples, relocation, unsupportive employers, shyness, or maybe far away from families, friends and social support networks. But some of them enjoy the isolation in the workplace. Because of it provides them with the opportunity to have a privacy they need to restores themselves. Then maybe they feel comfortable being alone. Be more caring to know their problems with the employers. For an example, bring in consultant to teach them about depressions and how to deal with it. Employers need to know about the titles, not just about the management. While it is manager job to meet the needs of the business by helping them become better employers for the business. Manager have to be prepared to act quickly if necessary. Be aware with that depression, if it has lasted long enough, may become life threatening. These positive results were achieved by providing health promotion activities to employees at the individual level and improving the quality of organizational mental health care (Sun, Buys & Wang, 2013). Developing clear policies was another important reason for the success of the intervention program.
