The said to be the country’s biggest Lenten procession highlights almost 100 life-sized religious statues riding on carriages or what they called carrozas. The significance of this procession to the municipality is highly appreciated for they would spend a large amount of money for the preparation. San Agustin parish priest Andres Valera mentioned the progress of this procession has made compared before, specifically from the small images that the owners would carry on their shoulder that eventually emerged into life-sized images carried on a truck. But this evolvement has led to many speculations that this Lenten procession has become into showing of wealth.
