Is Golf A Real Sport
Is Golf a real sport? Golf is a 4 century tradition, or as some call it a sport. It originated in a course called St. Andrews, the course is in Scotland.Today there is a Professional league called the PGA. Golf is offered for high schoolers, and middle schoolers. Golf is physically not a sport in my mind.

According to procon.org, “Expert golfers are sometimes obese, elderly, or out of shape. If you can play golf when you are older than that is not a sport. Can an old person play football, or basketball, or even tennis. Pro football, baseball, and basketball have people retire at age 40 in golf they retire at age 70. Most of the time nobody is out of shape in a “sport”.

Let’s drive really fast, make a left turn; repeat this process three more times. Now, continue to do this for three to four hours Sounds exciting, right? Many people would be reluctant to consider driving a car around an asphalt or concrete track for several hours on a hot Sunday afternoon an actual sport. In fact, there are many who would not consider these glorified “Sunday Drivers” to be real athletes. Why should something that millions and millions people do each and every day be put on the same level as basketball, football, baseball, and track and field. The men and women who take the court and field, they are true athletes, right? Yes, they are. It is assertion that racecar drivers, in particular, those who compete in the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, NASCAR for short, are also athletes in every sense of the word, thus making NASCAR a true sport.…

Firstly, golf is a very popular sport, being play in almost every county in the world. Even Antarctica has an ice golf course. Golf is among the top five internationally competed sports in the world. There are many tournaments that include players and teams from countries and continents around the entire world. Some examples are: the Ryder Cup, the Presidents Cup, the four majors, the Solheim Cup, and many more. Also, because it is so popular, no matter where you held the Olympics there would be an Olympic quality golf course. This is a great advantage because normally the city that holds the Olympics has to spend millions and millions of dollars just to build the stadiums and arenas just to hold the games. If golf were one of the sports, then that would save them about 40-50 million dollars because that is the cost it would take them to build the golf coarse.…

1Golf is a physical sport just like all other sports. You have to be physically fit and you need to have a strong mental factor to play golf. Because if you start thinking too much during your round, everything will fall apart. I think that golf would be an exceptional job even though there are some injuries that lurk behind it. I also think that the knowledge of the injuries that are possible is a factor in people choosing to play the sport as a career, don’t.…

"I am a golfer, not an athlete." These are the words from Lee Westwood, a current golf pro, who at one point in his life was ranked as high as the 5th best golfer in the world. Despite what most people think, golf is a game, not a sport. A sport can be a game, but a game doesn 't have to be a sport (Johnson 2). Recently, CNNSI did a poll on whether or not golf is a sport, and the answer was a definitive "No." Golf is a game that can be played by people of all age and sizes, and requires absolutely no athletic ability, which makes it not a sport (Thomas 1).…

It is true that you have been more concentrated in eSports than in real sports but in my eyes it still makes a huge difference to real sports.…
