Is Brother Responsible For Doodle's Death?
Based on the content of the story Brother should be held responsible for Doodles death. Doodle, was the younger brother, and was born with a heart defect. He was ignored by his parents. Seeing how he was ignored his older brother felt responsible for Doodles care. Gradually Brother grew to love and care for Doodle. Brother taught him how to live a normal life, teaching him to walk, swim, and climb trees. These are skills a normal child would develop with their parents. Doodle died while running away from a storm while under his brother’s care. Does that make him a victim of his older brother? If anything, the older brother is a victim of fate because he lost the brother he loved. He played the role of every family member in Doodle’s

    The quote, “The knowledge that Doodle’s and my plans had come to naught was bitter, and that streak of cruelty within me awakened.
