One of the popular instruments in Ireland during the Renaissance was Brian Boru’s Harp. Sometimes known as the Trinity Harp, it has a curved top, wide left side, and a bow like right side. One of the songs that you can play on it is Brian Boru’s March. The harp was later stolen, and to get it back a musician played the Ransom Song. One of the songs that they wrote during the Great Famine, is the Famine Song. Another song they made is White Potatoes, written and sung by John O’ Callanan.Most of them had to move to America, and because they had to move to America, they brought their music. With them they brought Riverdance, a song which is made up of traditional Irish dance and music. Irish music has even inspired American singers to write songs, like when Cliff Carlisle used The Black Velvet Band to make his song The Girl In The Blue Velvet Band. When the Irish came to America they weren’t the only ones that influenced other cultures, America had some Influence on
