The schematic diagram of the arrangement is as shown in Fig.6.5. The low temperature, low pressure vapor at state B is compressed by a compressor to high temperature and pressure vapor at state C. This vapor is condensed into high pressure vapor at state D in the condenser and then passes through the expansion valve. Here, the vapor is throttled down to a low pressure liquid and passed on to an evaporator, where it absorbs heat from the surroundings from the circulating fluid (being refrigerated) and vaporizes into low pressure vapor at state B. The cycle then repeats. The exchange of energy is as follows:…

A recent study Kamal (2012), indicates that last two decades we witnessed a severe energy crisis in developing countries especially during summer season primarily due to cooling load requirements of buildings (see graph attachment). The energy consumption in buildings is quite high and is expected to further increasing because of improving standard of life and increasing world population. Air-conditioning use has increasingly penetrated the market and greatly contributes in the energy consumption. Passive cooling is a means of preventing heat from entering…

We selected this research project because we want to compare the effects of using papaya’s papain and the commercial meat tenderizers that can be bought in many supermarkets. Some people also tried this research project, like Gian Paul Giron, a student in a university in Manila. It spurred me to work on this problem because other researchers did not accomplish in making the papain meat tenderizer available in markets and can be bought in a lower price than the commercial ones. The results of this study can make a contribution to attain a better quality life, because if this will be successful, consumers can now buy a meat tenderizer that is chemical-free. It means that the papaya that we will be using will not use any commercial fertilizers.…

The sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas), a member of the morning glory family, Convolvulaceae, is a grown for its tuberlike roots. Native to the American tropics, it is rich in vitamin A. Europeans brought back the plant to their continent in the 16th century and it later spread to Asia. About 4 to 5 months of warm weather are required for adequate yields. All varieties have long vines, often exceeding 3m (10ft). Most sweet potatoes are propagated by planting root sprouts or vine cuttings. Properly stored, disease-free roots can remain edible for 6 to 7 months.…
