Intuition In Sidekicked
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma- which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart intuition,” this quote is Bill Gates’ words. This quote familiarizes itself with the book Sidekicked. Sidekicked is a book written by John David Anderson. It is about a boy named Andrew Macon ( a.k.a The Sensationalist). Andrew has to make severe decisions as a sidekick, and as a teenager. With super villains on the loose, and superheros on the low. Andrew has to step up his game as a superhero sidekick. Throughout the novel two themes stood out to me. Those themes are do only what you feel is best, and just because you are not a hero doesn’t mean you can’t save the day. Do only what you feel is best. To start off, you will know when you made a poor decision. That is why you have to make positive decisions. In Sidekicked, “Just then, two teenagers in black hoodies appear at the entrance to Sam’s Sportswear. Both have their hands tucked into their jackets-really thick, blocky jackets” (127). Later, on page 128, it states, “ ‘We have to do something.” It all happens so fast. I think I hear Mike ask, ‘We?’- but I’m already up and running, jumping right into the path of the looters…” At
