Introduction for Students
School Activities
While in high school, I participated in school activities listed below. These activities gave me the opportunity to test my physical along with my mental strength.
 Boxing: “Fabela Chavez” Fall 2011
 This became more of a self struggle for me. It’s quite difficult to stand there and receive punches from your fellow friends and not become overwhelmed when it gets heated all the while your coach is yelling all sorts of combinations he wants you to play out. Through those three rounds you also have to have a clear mind and always remember to breathe for it’s a natural instinct to hold in your breath in tight situations. As your body takes in all those hits and your arms start burning with fatigue you must ignore the sensation to let your arms drop because if you do you may very well see stars as you lay on the floor.

 Surfing
 Seeing as how difficult it may be to stay afloat in a pool it becomes even harder when you have waves crashing against you and you have a 6ft surf board linked to your ankle. You try very hard to catch that wave and ride it but every time you get up and wipe out you’d get a mouthful of salt water that make you want to gag. It was extremely difficult for me to get through riding my first wave and being strong enough not to get fed up and tired of all the water and failed attempts at riding the wave but the moment I did I felt pure bliss.

 Bench Press Competition
 This was by far the most rewarding. Our police academy class won the trophy and we each received our own based on which place we got. i was incredibly nervous seeing as how whatever I lifted could ruin our chances of winning the trophy or could help tremendously. As much as I would have wanted to win first place in my weight division I ended up in close second place and San Pedro Police Academy retrieved the Bench Press Competition trophy.

 Bookmark Contest
 I participate in a Halloween Bookmark Competition and won first place. I also had my bookmark printed and handed out to people of the library and was told that they were going to place my book mark in another competition, county wide and they would contact me in September if I won. I hope to hear from them

Last year, it was my first year when I work in the female soccer team from my old high school. This was a soccer team where I was a goalkeeper trainer. This team was the high school soccer team representing the local High school.
