Interview Research Paper
Interviews are one of the most spellbinding methods to get to know someone face-to-face. They can ultimately inspire the interviewer and others to learn more or to follow the footsteps of the interviewee. For my interview, I‘ve met a relative who has always been great to me from when I was little, and that person is my grandfather. There are three justifications on why I chose my grandfather, who is such a fascinating individual, to interview.

One reason why I’ve selected to interview my grandfather is that he was an excellent salesperson. According to my grandad himself, he told me in his interview that he was able to persuade people to trade and make profit off his stock of hardware back when he was young in Libya. His work ethics and persuasive techniques touch my heart because in the mere future, I would hope to become an entrepreneur and convince people to buy my idea and services. Being a salesperson requires someone to be fluent in language and communication skills. Two highly indispensable traits for survivability in this world.

As stated by my grandad himself, “I saw myself as a diplomat working for the Ethiopian government. In the past, and currently today, Ethiopia and Djibouti had never had good relations. So, in retaliation of one another’s hatred, both governments sent out spies to monitor each others activities such as militarily, economically or politically. I was one of the diplomats who were sent by the Ethiopian government to monitor the Djibouti government.” The art of snooping or spying on other governments interests me, due to the fact that I love watching movies that have similar genres to

Every family has someone that they are especially proud of and likes to talk about. Most families have a rich and luscious history that is easy to map and find. Some families, however it is not that simple. They don’t have the luxury of going onto known web sites or libraries to find their history. Much like my family, these families when having to make reports or essays over a relative have a select few to choose from. Grandparents are the easiest because they are known and some are still alive. The grandfather I chose to write about is Nole C. Strickbine or Spike Strickbine as he preferred to be called. I chose to write about him because of his tough early childhood,…

I met with Sofia Mitre. Sofia is a Mexican expatriate. She has lived in the U.S. for the vast majority of her life; however, she constantly travels to and from Mexico to visit family and to accompany her father on business trips. Although we both grew up in Austin, Sofia considers herself a visitor to the U.S. as a citizen of Mexico. She grew up in a household rooted in Mexican heritage while I grew up in a home speaking only English with heritage confined to the Southwest states of the U.S. Predominantly, this is what establishes the cultural difference between me and her.…

Computers and education are permanently bound, and any educational structure must incorporate them into their plan. Nearly every job in the real world uses some form of computer and it is imperative for students to familiarize themselves with this shift. The internet makes it possible for students to not have to associate learning in a classroom, as courses can be attended in any environment, whether it be at home or in the library. Without the physical confines students have much more enthusiasm for their subjects (Koch, 2014). This can make the teacher’s job easier and the student’s assignments more rewarding as the software programs take novel approaches toward…

Picking someone for this paper was much more difficult than the first one, at immediate thought the only people I knew over the age of 65 were my family members. I started to look into some of my friends’ parents but they were not quite there. Then it hit me, the perfect person to interview would be my friend that passed away in Dickinson, her grandmother. She is one of the most loving, caring, supportive grandparents I have ever met. I have always seen her from that stand point so interviewing her would only help me to understand how she became the way she is today.…

I interviewed an adult woman who lives in my neighborhood. Her name is Marina and she is 66 years old always trying to be active but in fact, she has a lot of health issues. She lost her husband 12 years ago and from then on, she lives by herself. So, I decided to invite her for a breakfast on Sunday morning and spent a little bit time together and talk. She responded to my invite with a very enthusiasm and interest. I am assuming it is because in her life there is not happening a lot of interesting events. I know her almost 4 years and I thought I could have guessed somewhat correctly about her interests in music, films, and TV shows.…

My interviewee, R.M ethnicity is Filipino and Chinese. Both of her parents are Filipino and Chinese. There are some differences of the way she follows her culture and how her parents follow their culture. She is 21 years of age and was born in the United States, but her parents were born in the Philippines. When growing up she went to a Presbyterian church because that is the religion her parents. Today as an adult, she chose to be non-denominational because she feels that Presbyterian religion was to traditional for her. About 80% of Filipinos are Catholics and some are from the Protestant churches and others are from the Aglipay church (McBride, n.d.). Her family speaks Tagalog, which is the national language in the Philippine society and their second is English (McBride, n.d.).…

Alliyah Grey grows up in Jamaica in a middle-class family; going to church was one of the things she looked forward on doing on Sundays. She became a Christian on her second year in college and this is what made her who she is today. She prayed each and every time she got the opportunity to do so and through prayer and fasting she is a successful college graduate. Alliyah enjoys traveling and meeting new people ever since she was a child. The most important thing to her is her family, without her family she would’ve to be 100% behind. She has quite a few strength and quality, but she would probably say her greatest strength is her reliability. Part of her reliability…

For my diversity assignment, I chose to interview my classmate Annemarie Farina. I conducted my interview on February 5th in the Library at Pete’s Café. I first met Annemarie in my Foundations of Public Health class, when a few of us agreed to meet up to study. I wanted to interview Annemarie because although we met because of the same major, we have differences that are outside of the classroom. This is her second year at UNC Charlotte, and this is my first. We also differ in other things including race, ethnicity, and place of origin. She is an overall good person, and I thought it would be intriguing to find out more about her.…
