Internship abroad is good for students
Introduction. (Monique)
In the latest centuries a lot of students are going abroad to do an internship for their study. They go (for example) to Spain, America, England or Australia and work (approximadiatly) for 5/6 months to gain experience in the work field. When they get back to the Netherlands they will start their 'normal study life ' again. An internship abroad is good for the students because it is good for their development, it is good to get knowledge, and last but not least it is good because they learn about themselves so they discover a personal brand.
Argument 1: Internship abroad is good for your development. (Britt)
Argument: The special feature of an internship abroad is that students get experience in becoming independent. By living no longer with your family or friends, your independence will improve. As a trainee abroad you will learn to take care of yourself and to be independent.
Evidence: It is remarkable to note that more than 80% of the students after their study period indicate that they consider their internship as extremely positive for the development of their personality and independency.
Example: Students have many control and have to survive in a new environment. Interviews with students who did an internship abroad, showed moreover that learning independently scored high on the list of positive effects. This results that the independency is an important concept within an internship abroad.
Argument 2: Internship is good for your knowledge. (Michael)
Internship abroad is one of the most important parts of education because of improving the knowledge of students. One of the reasons is, that students meet people in business environment, and take part in different ways of business. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to meet people from different cultures, make business contacts, and help them to combine different cultures and be better on their businesses and their lives too.
