Topic: A lot of people use the internet to communicate these days. What are the advantages and the disadvantages? Nowadays, people use the internet to communicate daily. Today, internet has become the most important tool for man. Advanced technology allows people to communicate even at the opposite ends of the world. However, like every single innovation in science and technology, the internet has its advantages and disadvantages. Internet can be used to send messages, also known as emails, to friends and family anywhere on Earth. Internet is also useful as normal mail days a few days to reach but email once sent, is received almost immediately by the other party. It is also user friendly and it can be used to keep in contact with friends or family who are currently overseas as there are many messenger services available on the internet. Another one of the biggest advantage of the internet would be information. The internet is full of information about any topic we can think about, ranging from news to services or even movies. There are several search engines like google or yahoo that we can use for research about any topic that we want to find data on. Nowadays, even schools are making use of the internet by asking the students to do research or collect data from the internet. Entertainment is also one of the many advantages of the internet. With the internet, we will not feel bored anymore as there are countless games that can be downloaded for free from the web. We can also use the internet to surf the web, enter chat rooms or even watch movies for free on the internet. Chat rooms have also helped many to find their lifelong partners. Many services are also provided on the internet ranging from purchasing and booking tickets for movies, hotel reservations and restaurant bookings. These make it more convenient especially if you want to eat in a very crowded restaurant.

In this way, the Internet promotes freedom of speech by enhancing the ability of individuals to voice opinions and inform and influence others, which can be considered a great benefit. 3. Communication. The Internet facilitates one-to-one, one-to-many and manytomany communication and enables users to communicate easily and inexpensively with a wide variety of individuals across the globe. Communication goes beyond the dissemination of information: it is a two-way process that allows for the expression of viewpoints, the creation of intimacy, and the coordination of actions.
