Integementary System: A Personal Statement
I am currently aspiring to specialize in one of the following, or more, fields: wound/ostomy care, adult medical, and acute emergency. First, I desire being apart of the wound/ostomy care team since the integementary system is quite intriguing; it is the first protector against foreign invaders, and appears in unqiue forms varying from person to person. Additionally, when the skin is broken or damaged, as a healthcare provider, I am able to observe the stages of healing considering that it is an external abrasion. On the other hand, I have an atrraction to the adult medical unit in regards to the vast opportunities to practice my clinical skills ranging from catheters to enteral feedings. Similarly, the emergency department is never consistent;
