In my opinion I liked the novel Insurgent (by Veronica Roth) better than the film
Insurgent because the novel had more events that the film missed out, the novel had more characters that played big roles who the film missed out or didn’t show as much and the characters I pictured looked different than in the film.
I liked the novel Insurgent better than the movie Insurgent because the novel had more events that the movie missed out. I think the novel had more events that the movie missed out because in the novel, Tris saves Peter when an Erudite women was about to shoot him in Amity headquarters. “My hands collide with the man, and the bullet hits the wall instead of him. I think the novel had more characters that played important roles who the movie left out or didn’t show as much of because Marcus was shown throughout the whole novel and was very important. He told Tris about the important information and helped Tris get to Erudite to get the information from Jeanine. “If you find the computer you will find Jeanine” (487). In this quote Marcus was with Tris trying to stop Jeanine. This proves the novel had more characters that played important roles who the movie missed out or didn’t show as much because in the movie, Marcus was only shown a few times at the beginning and didn’t do anything too important besides telling Tris that Jeanine has important information that her parents died protecting. In the novel Cara also played an important role in helping the royal dauntless during the attack from Erudite and Dauntless traitors. “There she evacuated a group of loyal Dauntless—including Tobias—to a fire escape the Dauntless traitors had not sealed off” (196). Cara also helped at the ending in getting into Erudite to get the information from Jeanine. This proves the novel had more characters that played important roles who the movie missed out or didn’t show as much because in the movie, Cara is not shown at all and not even mentioned. In the novel Zeke is another character who played an important role, by collecting information from the Erudite and by saving Tori who then became a dauntless leader. “The traitor Dauntless found out we were collecting information from them” (227). This proves the novel had more characters that played important roles who the movie missed out or didn’t show as much because in the movie Zeke wasn’t shown at all but his bother Uriah was.
