AAI

Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) and Automation facilities are the vital elements for safe and reliable Air Traffic Services over designated airspace. Airports Authority of India (AAI) is the Air Traffic Service provider over the Indian airspace. Due to the overcrowded airspace globally, the safety and Reliability of the Air Traffic Services depend heavily on the CNS/ATM systems sustained by the CNS personnel on one side and the Air Traffic Controllers on the other side. The Pilots/ Airlines are the users of these services. These cores groups of the Aviation Professionals make the Sky Safe for the passengers to fly from one airport to another over the continents.

AIR TRAFFIC ENGINEERING SYSTEMS

Airports Authority of India provides CNS/ATM facilities at 128 airports including Civil Enclaves. AAI manages the Indian Airspace covering an area of 2.8 million square nautical miles of land mass and the adjoining oceanic area as accepted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Over 1500 CNS professionals, with electronics, telecommunication and computer background are engaged round the clock for operational sustenance of the CNS/ATM Facilities. The CNS/ATM facilities are provided and maintained at all the times to meet the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) specified by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
