I. Introduction A. Herbs with medicinal properties also known as alternative medicine. Alternative medicine is any practice that ensures to healing and that does not have a direct relation within the realm of conventional medicine. It may be based on historical or cultural traditions, rather than on scientific evidence. Alternative medicine is frequently grouped with complementary medicine or integrative medicine, which, in general, refers to the same interventions when used in conjunction with mainstream techniques, under the umbrella term complementary and alternative medicine, or CAM. Some examples of CAM are therapies are acupuncture, chiropractic and herbal medicines.
Alternative medicine methods are diverse in their foundations and methodologies. Methods may incorporate or base themselves on traditional medicine, folk knowledge, spiritual beliefs, or newly conceived approaches to healing.
II. General Content A. The primitive system of directly applying Alternative Medicine 1. In northern Iraq a 60,000-year-old has yielded large amount of pollen from 8 plant species, 7 of which are used today as herbal remedies. B. Today we use a lot of herbal medicine as an alternative medicine for the cure or treatment of many diseases. C.
