Informative Speech On Agrimonia Is A World Unseen
Today you’re going to learn two things. Firstly, Agrimonia is a genus of a species of plant that usually lives for a maximum of 2 years and it has a history of medicinal uses ranging from treating weariness to ailments for various organs; some believed that if you placed stems of a particular species of Agrimony on someone’s head, they would fall asleep instantly and would not wake up until the plant was removed. Secondly, Agrimonia is a crust punk band from Sweden featuring members of At the Gates, Martyrdod and Skitsystem who infuses elements of sludge, death and post-everything into their music, allowing them to intertwine an array of contrasted sensations into the bleakly atmospheric fabric of their music.

“Awaken”, the band's fourth album, naturally expands on the proficient interplay of the aforementioned subgenres that “Rites of Separation” skilfully established previously. Now, Agrimonia focusses on emphasising and perfecting their knack

Listening to its six tracks which average at around 10 minutes apiece- minus the short instrumental title track- never feels like a chore due to the frequent shifts in sonic expression and the dynamic structuring of the album. “A World Unseen” provides a fitting introduction to the album, demonstrating the way in which Argramonia’s guitars reveal this tidal tangibility when placed alongside the racing drums during the faster moments and the way the band easily drifts from swift, intense moments to sparkling melodies only to plunge back into stampeding death metal. The group’s elasticity can be verified in “Yankiels Lid”, a jubilant and emotionally charged upheaval deployed with easy confidence and featuring intermittent double-tempo passages. The combined rhythms of Sarin and Takeishi become the predominant stimulus within the relaxed mood adopted. Propelled by Sarin’s warm brushing and embellished with short-lived horn fills arranged by Hardy, “Mortal” is an earnest ballad whose peak of excitement is reached during Ron Horton’s improvisation. He not only projects the sound of his instrument with crystal clarity but also emits an emerald iridescence when expressing himself freely. Successfully emulating one of those frustrating machine-answered phone calls that frequently pisses people off, “Your Call Will Be Answered by Our Next Available Representative…” is a witty Monk-ish swinger that comes to life with hi-hat excitation, piano eloquence, and strong bass verve. The pace only winds down in the course of short middle passages, but the song regains its vividness to accommodate the improvisations.…

On August 26th, IHCDA is will be hosting the Indiana Housing Conference at the J.W. Marriott and are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be the distinguished photographer, Tom Casalini. We wanted to highlight his background before discussing his current project we are looking to showcase. Tom attended Indiana University and New York Institute of Photography. After working in Georgia for a period of time, he eventually returned to Indiana as Indiana’s official state photographer. ‘Ordinary Heroes’ and ‘Famous Hoosiers’ are a couple galleries that he has previously completed which attest to his ability to portray symbolic figures on a personal level. In his piece ‘Ordinary Heroes’ he captures the individuality of Medal of Honor recipients and highlights who they are as people in street clothes, just as normal people who have performed admirable services of duty for their country. In his piece ‘Famous Hoosiers’ he captured Indiana natives like Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Fuzzy Zoeller, John Mellancamp, John Wooden, Jim Davis and more to celebrate some of the most acclaimed Hoosiers and their way they represent Indiana through their industries. Tom has a studio in Zionsville we were able to catch up with him at and talk to him about…
