Steve Jobs: An “Entrepreneurial” Snapshot

Birth and adoption:
Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. His unwed biological parents, Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali (A Syrian Muslim), put him up for adoption. Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, a lower-middle-class couple.
(Jandali only learned that Jobs was his son in 2005, one year later after Jobs was diagnosed a cancer)
Neighborhood and Training:
Young Steve Jobs grew up in a neighborhood of engineers (became known as Silicon Valley in early 1950’s) working on electronics and other gizmos in their garages on weekends. This shaped his interest in the field as he grew up.

Reality distortion field (RDF) is a term coined by Bud Tribble at Apple Computer in 1981, to describe company co-founder Steve Jobs ' charisma and its effects on the developers working on the Macintosh project.
Jobs 's design aesthetic was influenced by the modernist architectural style of Joseph Eichler, and the industrial designs of Braun 's Dieter Rams. His design sense was also greatly influenced by the Buddhism which he experienced in India while on a seven-month spiritual journey. His sense of intuition was also influenced by the spiritual people with whom he studied.
Jobs was a demanding perfectionist[123][124] who always aspired to position his businesses and their products at the forefront of the information technology industry by foreseeing and setting trends, at least in innovation and style.

    On the 5th of Oktober 2011 I was sitting on the couch just risen from my sleep still yawning when the news came on like any other Wednesday morning. By the tone of the anchors voice I immediately woke up thinking a disaster had struck somewhere and there was breaking news. Steve Jobs, the famous CEO of Apple inc. had passed away due to pancreatic cancer. My family had always been quite a fan of Apple products and it was always a thrill to watch Job’s presentations so it was a slight dissapointment. After having made toast there were 3 more news headlines which all had the same tone of seriousness which reported this matter. It surprised me that this news was so big in the Netherlands. Once on the bike in the rain I passed the local kiosk with a whole rack of front pages having a Steve Jobs stare at me. With days and weeks passing I had also flicked passed a number of documentaries, minutes of silence and presentations of Jobs on TV but also apple stores with doorways blocked by flowers and candles. I even started doubting myself, was this man really that famouse, that influential and that important to the world that this was breaking world news.…
