Some of these fishing methods have been used since 2000 B.C. from the Chinese using silk string,bamboo pole and silver hooks this practice is called angling it’s a term used for fishing with string and a hook there has been writing of fishing in other places like Greek,Assyria,Roman,and in Jewish writings some people use the method for catch and release angling most noted for large or small mouth bass or any kind of bass it’s name explains it pretty well catch and release angling is a fisherman catches then releases the creature back in to the water with no harm to the fish there is a club named Bass Angler Sportsman Society or (BASS) in the 1990s they had over 500,00 members now today they have somewhere around 600,000 they have increased in size dramatically with in a short few years why this group is important of angler fishing that they had a big interest in some of the bait,lures,and artificial baits and because of this there have been many changes to these baits and lures so that they have a advantage and improve they way they fish.fishing is a $90 billion industry that the U.S promotes food production,economy and culture and with the Bass Angler Sportsman Society or (BASS) this impacts this $90 billion industry by helping it grow more then it already is angling fishing can be more than a sport/hobby it’s also entertainment
