informal letter to a friend about school
5 Halite Street,
Marigold Gardens
Ajah, Lagos.
15th January, 2015.
Dear Fike,
Heyyy! How’s you? I hope everything has been okay with you. Have you recovered from our chicken pox yet? What of Bree, how many puppies did she end up giving birth to? How is your school and all? What of… you know *wink*
Jessica and I have really been missing you since you left the school to New Beau forts. Have you finally come to manage the uniform? I remember how much you begged your parents to stay in Ridgeway. As you asked me to in your previous letter, I’m writing to inform you about the new term. It’s been quite different without you there. Did you know the school changed the uniform? It’s horrible! A blue skirt and blazer, a white blouse and a ridiculous plaid tie, not forgetting the pair of knee length white socks with flats. The other one was way better.
Second term has been harder though, and like now the exams are 70% of our final grade and were reading from Grade 7 to grade 8.ive been studying more often now because I want to pass my previous average. About three of my teachers have gone on maternity leave. Thankfully! Homework is even more now because classes are shorter because of upcoming school activities. Thankfully I haven’t yet found the need to stay up all night to finish work and I hope it remains that way. Do you remember the interhouse festival that the grades 9s use to tell us about? Practice has started, but I am yet to decide what I’m going to do. I’m sure if you were here you would have danced until the stage broke and the crippled would be able to give a standing ovation.im honestly more bothered about schoolwork right now especially avoiding distractions, but I’ve been coping alright. I’ve attached some pictures of the new uniform and a note from Charlie to this letter. That’s all for now b. I must start my homework for English tomorrow. The teacher wants us to write an informal letter to a friend and I don’t even know where to start! Write soon Fiks. I

I am just tolerating the people here at this countryside retreat... of course it is not what I’m used to but I will be strong and try not to cause trouble. It reminds of your humble home, I must “thank you for letting me in” I am excited to be in such a “convenient location”. It has been nearly eight months since I have seen you and I feel absolutely wonderful! You must say “a word about my appearance” when you see me next Stella. I am still awaiting the arrival of Shep Huntleigh, he would see my “physical beauty”, and take me away to his house in the upper east side, where I can get lost in the shops and just splurge on all the extravagant clothes and jewellery! “Clothes are my passion!”…

You will see by the date of my letter, that our quarters are changed. We came to Indianapolis last Tuesday and were walked without a moment's delay to Camp Carrington where ae are presently digs in. We have wonderful quarters here, everything is agreeable and masterminded helpful and methodicallly. The camp here looks to some degree military, other than we have disipline. The young men are somewhat sad they can't have such simple times as they had at Camp Lindsay. They don't care to have the rules drawn so firmly at the same time.…

Back in summer of 2014 all of our friends were so excited for the new year. We were going to be in 8th grade, at the top of the food chain at our Junior High. Not only were we excited about all the different things we were going to be able to do as 8th grader, like take chinese or year round spanish if you're into that. But what we were focusing on the eye of the prize, the 8th grade dance. The best part about this dance was that it wasn’t any ordinary dance, everyone had to be dressed up in nice clothes or otherwise they would be asked to leave. This…

Thank you so much for all that you do for Howard County. Mount Hebron High School is greatly appreciative of your help in creating a better school environment. The 2,000 dollar grant has been used to create a native plant garden in the senior courtyard. We decided that native plants would be the best plan as it conserves water, time, and money. This way we could do more with the money that was graciously given. It would be our greatest honor to have you attend the Mount Hebron ribbon cutting ceremony in the early fall of 2017. You would be able to see all the effort and work that the Mount Hebron staff and students have put into this project. We thank you for your time and we really hope that you will be able to…

This fine evening the telephone in the house rang again, this time it was that lovely officer from Camp Taylor. I believe that he is the one I met the other day while having a ride with my roadster. To busy today, we arranged an encounter for tomorrow. The lovely Jordan Baker was also taking fresh air, it is not good to stay home all day, busy looking after personal issues. I am like an idol to her, Jordan that is, that sweet girl. Sad that I won’t be able to accompany her to meet those pleasant young officers when she grows a little older, but by that time I will already have my own classy companion. We will buy a gigantic front-line house, with huge windows were air always come in, and there is no need, therefore, to walk outside the house- it is sometime too hot out there.…

Soonerthon is a year-long fundraising event ending with a twelve-hour dance marathon in the spring. All the proceeds raised benefits The Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City through funding medical research and family support programs. The programming committee is in charge of planning every minute of the twelve-hour event dance marathon. Within the committee, my personal responsibility was to design and organize a children’s carnival at the main event for the “miracle kids” from the hospital. The joy that radiated from the children that passed through the carnival was contagious, not only to myself but also to the other 2,000 OU students that attended the Soonerthon event as well.…

Dear Clarisse McClellan, life without you has been rough and harder than I expected. You're unlike any person I have interacted with before. You made me question my job and the life I was living in a positive way. I stood up to Captain Beatty and helped make a necessary change in this society, and it was all thanks to you. If it wasn't for you, I would still be doing the wrong thing. My job is to be a ¨firefighter¨ and not a firelighter.¨…

In English class we read many books, which wasn’t my favorite thing. We also focused a lot on compound, complex and simple sentences. In math we did almost everything. We covered 12 chapters over the entire year and it was really busy, but fun I guess. Science has been fun. It’s kind of been like a second math class because we have been doing a lot of conversion problems and things like that. We also did a…
