Within the discipline of psychology, there are several perspectives used to describe, predict, and explain human behavior. The seven major perspectives in modern psychology are psychoanalytic, behaviorist, humanist, cognitive, neuroscientific/biopsychological, evolutionary, and sociocultural. Describe the seven major psychological perspectives using two to three sentences each. Psychoanalytic
Psychoanalytic theory assess self –identity and the self in different ways. In order to explore their various meanings. It contains two hypotheses about unconscious mental functioning. According to the first, a person is not able to exert control over his unconscious mental life. According to the second hypothesis, a person may exert some degree of control over at least part of his unconscious mind. All basic psychoanalytic concepts and many basic psychoanalytic clinical observations assume, either explicitly or implicitly, one or the other of these hypotheses.
Behaviorist
It is the study of the behavior and how surroundings can get affected, by individual observations. Job B Watson did not accept the idea of unconscious mind driving the behavior of individuals; instead , he believed that environment is the great effect on indivdial behavior.
Humanist
Humanistic psychologists do not try to explain behavior in terms of its parts or hidden causes. They claim that people make deliberate, conscious decisions. It study the special qualities of a given individual as opposed to studying groups. Their research consists mostly of recording narratives, more like a biographic than like a scientists.
Cognitive
