Improving Computer Mediated Communication
Computer mediated is a process in which human data interaction occurs through one or more network telecommunication systems. It’s a study of non - verbal communication. The non-verbal elements are email, text messages, newsgroups, online chat, and or instant messages.
The non -verbal elements that I would add to the definition is Facebook, paying bills online, taking online classes, video messages, and shopping online.
The steps that I would take to improve my “listening” process when engaged in computer mediated communication is to actively and carefully read the message, focus on the message sent and paying attention to detail. to enhance through online materials enables one to enhance their listening skills.
