Today, education is viewed as a vital key to success in life, and knowledge has become every individual’s aim or concern. Each one of us is born in a different medium and of different social and cultural norms; however, most of us approve of education’s positive effects on society. Therefore, ‘Why do we need education?’ and ‘why do we think education is important?’ is the issue to tackle. To get a better grip of this complex theme we have to distinguish three different types of education, there is the formal education, like school, the lifetime education, learning through difficult situations and the education by our parents. To lead a successful country we have to keep it on a standard level of education to be able to impart the cultural heritage to the younger generations. There is again a division to be made between the inherited education or knowledge, and the education taught at school.…

Students/pupils will listen to you much more effectively outside in the world. I may say that I am correct! They are like dog tied to their kennel in a class room. It is almost an act of cruelty to force them to sit all day listening and not by talking. They should be engaged outside the room. The importance of education is higher than it was twenty years ago. Jobs that didn’t need a college education requirement in the past now do. For example, civil service jobs, Police Officers, Mechanics, and Firefighters, all require some degree of college to get into the field of choice. The importance of education is getting greater, but the motivation of students is not. In other words, students are spending more time playing rather than worrying about what’s important, which should be their education. “Ensuring quality higher education is one of the most important things we can do for future generations,” (Lewis). This quote by Ron Lewis exemplifies how I feel about furthering education following a high school career. Not only is education important during a high school career, but almost essential afterwards. Going to college not only expands the student’s education and knowledge, but it gives them insight to what the real world will be like. It truly benefits the student in more ways than one, and they can use what they learned in years to come. Higher education can only build upon what a student already knows, which is why is it really is crucial for everyone to continue on to college.…
