Dental implants are the best restorative treatment for missing teeth because they are a long term solution. According to Dr. Guy M. Lewis in his article he states, “When properly maintained with adequate brushing and flossing, the implant itself can last a lifetime” (“Love That Smile” par. 3). Implants are used to replace one or extra missing teeth, and if they are taken care of the right way, they are guaranteed to last a lifetime. If the implant is well taken care of and treated as if it was a real tooth, it will be in the best condition possible and last the patient a lifetime. The full idea of a dental implant is to look compared, feel like and act related to a real tooth. It is only right to treat the implant as if it was a real tooth…

Dr. Suzuki claims that “Braces also prevent dental problems like TMJ if they are to help correct a bite problem. TMJ can occur from stress on the jaw point in people that have an incorrect bite pattern or misalignment of the bite”(par. 1). According to this evidence, braces can prevent future dental problems like TMJ. As mentioned previously, braces work to align the way both jaws bite, also known as occlusion. When the jaws do not align correctly, problems like Temporomandibular disorder can occur. This is known to cause severe pain and stress on the jaw and can affect mastication abilities. All in all, braces are not only functional but actually prevent dental problems by aligning the jaw and teeth to prevent decay, gingival recession, and bite…
