Completing the Assessments in this book

This assessment book is to be used in conjunction with the relevant distance learning workbook.

Within the workbook for this module, once you have completed the reading and activities to gain the required knowledge of the topic area, you will be directed to complete the associated assessment.

It is suggested that you keep both the distance learning workbook and this assessment book together, so that the relevant assessments can be completed in the order that they are delivered in the distance learning workbook.

In this way your assessment book and workbook will be completed at the same time and can be handed in together.

ASSESSMENT 1

Give an example of the way in which you could clarify a specific training need and a specific coaching need of an individual in your organisation.( 4 marks)The way in which I could clarify if a operative needs any specific training or coaching is to sit down and have a one on one discussion with them and write down anything that they think they need to improve on to make them more confident and efficient in the work place. We have P.D.R which are personal development reviews and these are done every six months to see if the improvements have been made throughout the year and if not what extra coaching or training is needed |

Explain two training techniques which you could use to meet a training need which is appropriate to your workplace.( 4 marks) The first training technique which i could use would be practical training, were i discuss the training that is required and what should be learnt front the training, i would then allow them to go away and put this into practice as i find that actually doing a task helps learners pick it up more quickly.
