If I Had a Million Dollars
If I Had a Million Dollars
“The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.” ( Buechner, 1926)
If I had a million dollars I would lend a hand to others and donate to charities. I choose to help others because it makes people feel good about themselves, it feels good to help others, and it will set an example for my children to give to someone in need.
Helping others makes people feel good about themselves. When people feel that someone cares, it brightens up their day. With a million dollars, I would donate a large sum of money to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so they can continue to provide care to children with cancer and other diseases. The money I donate will not only aid the hospital to get better equipment for research but, also leave a good impression in the hearts of the children.
It feels good to help others. Helping and making other people happy is good for all of us because it will improve our lives. Helping others not only helps them feel good, but it also helps you feel good about myself. It is always better to give than to receive. The more you give the better you we feel.
Setting an example for your children is important. Giving to others will inspire your child to give as well. I always try to set a good example for my children, because they are watching and imitating everything you do. Be a good model for your children by giving and sharing with others.
Furthermore, if I had a million dollars, I would continue to make other contributions to charities to improve the lives of others. I will assist others in need by providing financial support, and my children will follow the examples I have instilled in them. Helping people can make a big difference in their lives and you will feel great that you need.

Anne Frank once wrote, “No one has ever become poor by giving.” This is an important thing to remember because it does not take much to help others, even smiling at someone could lift their spirits and change their day around. I went to help serve silver supper on Christmas Day last year, which was a chance to help the people who needed it. Do what you can to help others because it feels amazing to know you helped another person, it could mean a lot to…

Throughout my life I have wanted to help others and found myself in jobs which involved looking after people. I examined my motivation for helping others; I have sometimes helped others because it made me feel useful, accepted and valued. At times in my life, I have experienced low self esteem. Therefore by helping someone, I have felt useful and valued, which has in turn increased my self esteem. This is certainly not a healthy motivation for helping others.…

I can tell you first hand, I would rather get lucky but the reality of it, is a million dollars will not be handed to me. You have to be willing to go out there and do the work. I have to be self motivated and have faith that my hard work will pay off. I am often viewed as greedy because I do not waste a lot of money, but i save up that money and invest it into my companies. Within my family nobody has reached the million dollars and whenever i talk to my family about the millionaires i follow all they respond with is “They are lucky”. “Lucky” to have 300,000 dollar cars, “Lucky” to have a 800,00 dollar house, but were they “Lucky” when they were homeless?. I myself do a lot of research on people the people who I follow and read their stories. I know most of the things they have gone through to get to a millionaire statues. Most have gone from rags to riches. I have learned that I have to be willing to burn my bridges and learn from mistakes. I have been around millionaires and they are not like most of the people you encounter everyday. Great manners along with advanced vocabulary are just the first things you will notice. They do not like to sit around, constantly on their phone. When we think of people on their phone we mostly imagine people liking other peoples post or just scrolling but millionaires are…

Being a two sport athlete playing both Basketball and Football I know if I make it to the Next level in my career one of the first things I would do is invest into giving back to my community and helping charities around the world. Ever since about 6 years old I would always go with my grandma to the local food give pantry at her church, helping give food to families and in need of extra or those who were homeless. We would go every two weeks. At first i never really wanted to go because I thought all homeless people were smelly until I seen young children my age, younger and some older than me. My heart had immediately felt sorrowful, but I knew then that I wanted to help people who were in need and do all I could to make a difference in people’s lives. As I got older I would become more involved and helping not only at church but at my high school. Participating in clubs such as national French honor society and food drives we helped people on special holidays such as Christmas and thanksgiving.…

Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.…

Charity to others is not only good for them and a good thing to do; it also makes us happier and healthier too. Charity also connects us to others, creating stronger communities and helping to build a happier society for everyone. Giving isn't just about money, so you don't need to be rich. Giving to others can be as simple as a single kind word, smile or a thoughtful gesture. It can include giving time, care, skills, thought or attention. Sometimes these mean as much, if not more, than financial gifts. As long as you care and willing to help the needy.…

If I won one million dollars, I would buy a mansion with lots of rooms, and fun things like a pool table and a big room with of games and fun activities. I would also have a gym so that I can exercise and have a healthy life. One thing I would do is give food and clothes for the homeless so they will have something to eat and have clothes to wear to keep warm and keep cool in the summer. I would give some of the money to charity so that they can help people that need money to have clothes to wear and food to eat and have a house to live in. Another thing I would do is help my family if they need the money to pay bills or if they just wanted to take a nice vacation. There are many things I would like to do if I won a million dollars, but the three things I would do if I won, would be buy an expensive car, travel the world, and invest my money in stocks and businesses.…
