Job role: job description is a written statement about the job. Company create a job description about the job, what they do, and what their aim of their business. What kind of person the company is looking for that specific job. In the job description explain the job role and what kind of person they are looking for. They describe the requirement of the job in the job description. In the job description it tells the hours of work and how the company is going to pay according to the hours employee work. What kind of skills required for the job and qualification employee need to work for that specific job. It means when the employer advert a new job. They need to describe about the job. They are offering in which department. What they are looking from the person. What kind of quality and qualification they need it from the person. For example if the company need a makeup artist they will defiantly look for someone who is expert and know about that particular area. In the job description it clearly explained about the position in the company.

Application form: Form or paper where you can fill your personal detail. What job you are looking, you have to answer the questions. Why you want work with our company. All this information candidate need to fill in about their education, experience and hobbies. You have to fill the application from in capital letter with black pen. Make sure you answer the questions right. This information employer is going to see about your interest and experience. You have to give the answer of all questions which they are asking. It make for the employer easier to know about the employee detail and interest. What they were doing previous. About their work experience and qualification. Candidate need to fill their national insurance number as well. Employer can get to know the skills might that person have. Candidate need to provide to the company right information about their qualification and experience, so company can decide are you suitable for that particular job or not.

Person specification describes what skills, qualification and experience people need to have for specific job role. These are the skills person don’t get from any school. These skills they create by them self.it is important to have good communication skills. So at the work place it will be easier for the employee to interact effectively. To interact with the people on telephone and face to face. Employee should be flexibly so any change may happen in the business. Employee can manage and get used to it quickly. Candidate need to have the flexibility, so he or she can work in a team. Candidate should have the experience in same industry. Have basic knowledge of what skills need to for the job in particular job. In person specification person should have built it skills. At the work place employee have to work on Ms Word. It will be helpful for the business. If employee has an excellent IT skills. Employee in their person specification should have management skills as well. When it comes to team work he or she should have management. So employee can work in team and manage the work.

Patients: working as a retail assistant, it is important to have patients to tackle with the customers. It is daily routine in retail industry to interact with the customers. Some time employees have to be patients to understand customer need. It is a good for the company, if their employee will be patients with customers and do their best to solve the problem.
Able to work with team: An employee should be able to work in team and help the team to hit their target. In order to achieve the long term goal with team to work effectively. It will be useful for the business if their employee can work the team.

Co-operate: An employee should know how to cooperate with other team members. So business doesn’t have any problem with their staff. By cooperating with each other needs work can be done effectively.
Hardworking: In business to achieve the success. It’s important to work hard to achieve the daily target. This will show the employer about your work and how hard working you are.
Interpersonal skills: It is important to interact with people and build the relationship with customers. In retail assistant job to have the good interpersonal skills helps to interact with people effectively. Employee can also put their point of view in front of the employee clearly.
Negotiation: In business negotiation is important to run the business smoothly. An employ must have the negotiation skills. It is important in business to negotiation with other, so they can reach to a decision. It helps the business Resolving skills: An employee should have good solving skills. As retail assistant employee always get in problem with customers. It will be useful skills to solve the customer’s problems to make you job easy. Employ need to understand what employer need from them.
Agree with the target: An employee need to what is their target for the day or short term and long term goal. Employee need to achieve it. Retail assistant may be have the daily target to sell as much they can in order to make more profit.
Agreeing budget: An employee should agree with the budget the company is giving them to work. Employee has to plan their activities under that specific budget. They have to know how they are going to carry their activities in specific budget.
Interviewing skills: An employee should have the interviewing skills. In future it is benefit to the company. He or she can interview people and know what skill you are looking for. It makes the person more confident about their self.
Communication skills: It is important to have good communication skills. Customer assistant needs to interact with people to sell the product. Employee need to be convincing customers to buy the product. To know about the product what they are selling to the customers.
Leadership: you have to show to your employer that you can lead the team. Motivate your collagenous and other team member at work. This is help you to improve your leadership skills. You will get chance to run your own team.

Employability skills in order to apply the job in customer assistant field employer will look at the applicant qualification.
Qualification: Some organisation they just need GCSE to take the employee others need more than that in specific field. If you are applying a job for accountant you particularly need to have that qualification. But in case of customer assistant company wants just to have the numerical and English qualification.
Experience: Employer will look at employee previous work experience and how much employee knows about the retail industry. Employer look at employee work experience to know about you how much the applicant got the experience in this particular job.
Knowledge of product and service: If employee has already done the work as a customer assistant. so there are more chances to get job. Employer doesn’t need to give you training about customer service and stock. You will already know what to do. This is impressive to the employer. It is good to have the Experience for specific industry: It is good to have the experience in the same industry. It will be make employer work more easily. Employer doesn’t need to trained about how sell the product and about the service. This will help it more to do the job smoothly.
Effective meeting personal qualities: Employ should have the good meeting skills. This help employee to adjust in any situation. Get to know how you can interact with people. Can work easily with the team and cooperate with them.
Ability to work and observe: employee should have the ability to work and observe. If employee can observe about the work. How they can make it better how he or she can make changes in the production and service, so they can make their working way better.
