PRUEBAS DE IDENTIFICACION DE NITRITOS Y NITRATOS EN SOLUCION ACUOSA

RESUMEN.

Dentro del desarrollo de este tema encontramos primero la descripción de las propiedades del ion nitrito, el cual esta formado por un átomo de N y dos de O con una carga de -1, por consecuencia tiene una geometría angular; dentro de la propiedades útiles para su identificación tenemos que es un ion soluble en agua, es incoloro y puede actuar como oxidante o reductor. Forma complejos ya sea por parte de el átomo de O ó por del átomo de N.

En cuanto a el ion nitrato esta formado por un átomo de N central y tres átomos de O con una carga de –1, estabilizado por una resonancia de tres estructuras equivalentes; en cuanto a sus propiedades utililes para el análisis cualitativo, este ion es soluble en agua y actúa como oxidante, y puede formar complejos ya sea unidentados, bidentados o tridentinos, y no forma compuestos que precipiten.

SUMMARY

Within the development of this issue we first find the description of the properties of nitrite, which is formed by a nitrogen atom and two O with a charge of -1, consequently has a bent geometry, within the useful properties identification we need is a water-soluble ion is colorless and can act as an oxidizer or reducer. Complex way by either the O atom by atom or N.
As for the nitrate ion is formed by a central N atom and three O atoms with a charge of -1, stabilized by a resonance of three equivalent structures, in terms of their properties utililes for qualitative analysis, this ion is soluble in water and acts as an oxidant, and may form complexes either unidentate, bidentate or Tridentine, and do not form compounds that precipitate.

PROPOSITO: proponer reacciones de identificación en solución acuosa para la determinación cualitativa de ion nitrito (NO₂⁻) y nitrato (NO₃⁻).

PURPOSE: to propose identification reactions in aqueous solution for the qualitative determination of nitrite (NO ₂ ⁻) and nitrate (NO ₃ ⁻).

    NO3- or otherwise known as Nitrate, not to be confused with Nitrite, is located in period 2 group 15. Nitrate is an element that can not be observed by any of the senses other than sight and touch because it is known to be odorless and tasteless. Nitrate starts within the earths soil but filters into water and plants when it is mixed with rain water that is either cycled back into larger bodies of water or into the plants that take the water from the soil.
